Bandai Namco Entertainment and Tamsoft have released the thirty-second character trailer for Bleach: Rebirth of Souls, an upcoming 3D arena fighting game based on Tite Kubo's popular shonen franchise. The new gameplay trailer showcases the abilities of Kaien Shiba, the former Lieutenant of Soul Society's Squad 13.
Kaien is described to be a Soul Reaper with a superior set of skills that makes him a well-rounded wawrrior capable of taking over the battlefield. By releasing his Awakening, Shikai Nejibana, Kaien's abilities are enhanced. With this state, it's easier for him to maintain the Current Aura State longer even though there are no big changes in his movement.
Bandai Namco also recently released an English-dubbed special cinematic trailer for Bleach: Rebirth of Souls:
Previously, Bandai Namco revealed character trailers for Coyote Stark, Tier Harrilbel, Nnoitra Gilga, Ikkaku Madarame, Shuhei Hisagi, Sajin Komamura, Szayelaporro Granz, Sosuke Aizen, Shinji Hirako, Shigenkuni Genryusai Yamamoto, Mayuri, Grimmjow, Izuru, Renji, Soi Fon, Kaname Tosen, Rangiku, Ichigo, Rukia, and Uryu. Trailers highlighting the Bankai of Ichigo Kusosaki and the villainous Ulquiorra Shifar were also released. We can expect more character trailers for Bleach: Rebirth of Souls as we get closer to its release date.
Bleach: Rebirth of Souls will release a Deluxe Edition that includes a season pass teasing four playable characters, Soul Crystals, and early access for one week. The four DLC characters of the season pass will come from Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War. The Ultimate Edition will include five-costume sets for Rebirth of Souls and Thousand-Year Blood War. Those who get the pre-order bonus will receive the Thousand-Year Blood War costume set.
What is Bleach: Rebirth of Souls about?
In Bleach: Rebirth of Souls, players unleash attacks to take down their opponents' Reishi. Cutting down one gauge of Reishi breaks down their opponent's Konpaku, which is represented by nine bars of health. Combos can be performed to break multiple Konpaku, and perform reverse actions while attacking and defending. Players can use accumulated spiritual power to unleash Spiritual Pressure Moves, and unlock powerful Bankai powers.
The story and characters of Bleach: Rebirth of Souls will cover the original manga's Substitute Soul Reaper Arc up to the Arrancar Arc. Bandai Namco Entertainment shared an official description of Bleach: Rebirth of Souls:
In Bleach: Rebirth of Souls , players can engage in thrilling action-packed battles with iconic characters from the legendary anime franchise including Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, Uryu Ishida, and Yasutora Sado (Chad). Players can use each character's moves, or Zanpakuto action, to knock down their opponent’s reishi in a 1 v 1 action battle, reducing their konpaku, or overall health bar. After damaging their opponent, players can unleash key combos to destroy multiple konpaku and turn the tide of battle. Accumulate Fighting Spirit while attacking to enter an awakened state and unleash a special move.
