Bandai Namco Entertainment has released the twenty-eighth character trailer for Bleach: Rebirth of Souls, an upcoming 3D arena fighting game based on Tite Kubo's popular shonen franchise. The new gameplay trailer showcases the abilities of Ikkaku Madarame, the lieutenant of the 11th Division of the Gotei 13. He is described as the luckiest man in the Soul Society, and he is capable of overcoming superior enemies in close range combat.
When Ikkaku unleshes his "Bankai: Ryumon Hozukimaru" in the game, the "Ryumon Gauge" appears and the more the gauge turns red, the more damage it inflicts on the enemy. The Gyumon Gauge accumulates energy when attacking an enemy or receiving damage from an opponent. The trailer describes him to have a wide variety of attacks and is strong at close fights. Previously, Bandai Namco revealed character trailers for Shuhei Hisagi, Sajin Komamura, Szayelaporro Granz, Sosuke Aizen, Shinji Hirako, Shigenkuni Genryusai Yamamoto, Mayuri, Grimmjow, Izuru, Renji, Soi Fon, Kaname Tosen, Rangiku, Ichigo, Rukia, and Uryu. Trailers highlighting the Bankai of Ichigo Kusosaki and the villainous Ulquiorra Shifar were also released. We can expect more character trailers for Bleach: Rebirth of Souls as we get closer to its launch date.
What is Bleach: Rebirth of Souls about?
In Bleach: Rebirth of Souls, players unleash attacks to take down their opponents' Reishi. Cutting down one gauge of Reishi breaks down their opponent's Konpaku, which is represented by nine bars of health. Combos can be performed to break multiple Konpaku, and perform reverse actions while attacking and defending. Players can use accumulated spiritual power to unleash Spiritual Pressure Moves, and unlock powerful Bankai powers.
The story and characters of Bleach: Rebirth of Souls will cover the original manga's Substitute Soul Reaper Arc up to the Arrancar Arc.

In Bleach: Rebirth of Souls , players can engage in thrilling action-packed battles with iconic characters from the legendary anime franchise including Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, Uryu Ishida, and Yasutora Sado (Chad). Players can use each character's moves, or Zanpakuto action, to knock down their opponent’s reishi in a 1 v 1 action battle, reducing their konpaku, or overall health bar. After damaging their opponent, players can unleash key combos to destroy multiple konpaku and turn the tide of battle. Accumulate Fighting Spirit while attacking to enter an awakened state and unleash a special move.
Bleach: Rebirth of Souls, which was developed by Tamsoft Corporation, is scheduled to release on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC (via Steam) on March 21, 2025, as confirmed by the trailer released last month.
