Bandai Namco Entertainment has released a brand new character trailer for Bleach: Rebirth of Souls, an upcoming 3D arena fighting game based on Tite Kubo's popular shonen franchise. The latest one features Renji Abarai, the lieutenant of Soul Society's 6th Division. He is described to be a master of mid-range combat, who can risk it all by unleashing "Bankai: Hihio Zabimaru".
In the trailer, Renji is described to have "strong reach abilities to keep opponents at bay with a powerful attack based Bankai". As BLEACH fans already know, Renji clearly has versatile swordsmanship, and this video shows what he's good at. You can watch all of Renji's moves summarized in the below, and there's even footage of him fighting Captain Byakuya Kuchiki.
Previously, Bandai Namco shared character trailers for Soi Fon, Kaname Tosen, Rangiku, Ichigo, Rukia, and Uryu. Trailers highlighting the Bankai of Ichigo Kusosaki and the villainous Ulquiorra Shifar were also released. We can expect more character trailers for Bleach: Rebirth of Souls as we get closer to its launch date.
What is Bleach: Rebirth of Souls about?
In Bleach: Rebirth of Souls, players unleash attacks to take down their opponents' Reishi. Cutting down one gauge of Reishi breaks down their opponent's Konpaku, which is represented by nine bars of health. Combos can be performed to break multiple Konpaku, and perform reverse actions while attacking and defending. Players can use accumulated spiritual power to unleash Spiritual Pressure Moves, and unlock powerful Bankai powers.
The story and characters of Bleach: Rebirth of Souls will cover the original manga's Substitute Soul Reaper Arc up to the Arrancar Arc.

In Bleach: Rebirth of Souls , players can engage in thrilling action-packed battles with iconic characters from the legendary anime franchise including Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, Uryu Ishida, and Yasutora Sado (Chad). Players can use each character's moves, or Zanpakuto action, to knock down their opponent’s reishi in a 1 v 1 action battle, reducing their konpaku, or overall health bar. After damaging their opponent, players can unleash key combos to destroy multiple konpaku and turn the tide of battle. Accumulate Fighting Spirit while attacking to enter an awakened state and unleash a special move.
