Pedro Pascal has been a top pick recently as the lead for shows such as The Mandalorian, and The Last of Us and rumors from late last year puts him in the spotlight to be the next Reed Richards in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie in the MCU. From one project to another, Pedro Pascal brings characters to life with his impeccable delivery and with some sense of humor. However, in a serious note, he is only just one person and could not juggle everything at once, and with this comes the reports that the actor left a horror film titled Weapons because of his alleged involvement in Fantastic Four.
Known as Din Djarin in The Mandalorian and Joel in The Last of Us, Pedro Pascal did a spectacular job in bringing the characters to life as he became one of the most coveted actors in today's age. Online scooper DanielRPK spilled the beans late last year on the rumor that Pedro Pascal was tapped to play the role of Reed Richards/ Mister Fantastic in Fantastic Four but nothing has been confirmed yet by the actor nor Marvel Studios. Still, the news remains to be the talk of the town as veteran entertainment scooper Jeff Sneider reported that Pedro Pascal exited Zach Cregger's Weapons because of scheduling conflicts for Fantastic Four.
According to the report, Pedro Pascal was not supposed to leave Weapons because previously, his schedule fit into its production. However, because Marvel delayed the production to the third quarter of the year, the schedule of Fantastic Four would affect that of Weapons, thus, Pedro Pascal made an early exit in the latter. Pedro Pascal's year is packed considering that The Last of Us will enter into production in February and recently, The Mandalorian & Grogu has been announced, marking his return in Star Wars.

While nothing has been confirmed yet by Marvel Studios as regards the casting of Fantastic Four, rumors are already swirling around those who are being eyed for the role of Marvel's first family. Aside from Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/ Mister Fantastic, there are actors who are already being rumored to appear as the other members of the team. There are Vanessa Kirby who is rumored to play Sue Storm/ Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn who is speculated to be Johnny Storm/ Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach who will allegedly suit up as Ben Grimm/ The Thing.
For the villains, Fantastic Four seems to be going a gender-swap on the Silver Surfer and Anya Taylor-Joy is the one being rumored to play the role. Mads Mikkelsen is speculated to have his second MCU role as Doctor Doom after his appearance in Doctor Strange as Kaecilius, and Javier Bardem will allegedly play the role of Galactus. Without confirmation yet from Marvel Studios as to the casting of Fantastic Four, it's best to take everything as a grain of salt.
Fantastic Four reboot is currently slated for a May 2, 2025 release in theaters.
