Vanessa Kirby has responded to the ongoing rumors surrounding her potential role as Sue Storm in the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. During the world premiere of Napoleon in Paris, France, Kirby was questioned about the widespread speculation. Not surprisingly, it looks like the Hobbs & Shaw actor is interested in the role in the highly anticipated MCU reboot.

When asked about the possibility of joining the cast for the highly anticipated Phase 6 installment, Kirby provided a candid response, neither confirming nor denying her involvement (via X). This follows earlier reports in June 2023 suggesting that Marvel Studios had extended an offer to Kirby for the role of Sue Storm, pending successful negotiations.

"I don’t know, you’ll have to ask them. I would be very honored to join," Kirby said.

It's crucial to note that Marvel Studios has yet to officially announce any negotiations with Vanessa Kirby for the Fantastic Four reboot. The lack of confirmation leaves room for updates on the casting front in the coming weeks.

Who is Sue Storm?

Before exposure to intense cosmic radiation, Susan Storm was a college student. Her transformation into Invisible Woman occurred when her boyfriend and scientist Dr. Reed Richards, orchestrated a space journey aboard the stolen rocket Marvel-1. Accompanied by her younger brother, Johnny Storm, and pilot Ben Grimm, Sue was exposed to radiation that altered their physiology, granting Sue the ability to turn invisible and generate forcefields.

United by their newfound abilities, they embarked on thrilling explorations of space, time, and alternate dimensions. Throughout their adventures, the Fantastic Four emerged as heroes, confronting and thwarting various science-based threats, ultimately saving the world from perilous situations.
