One of the most anticipated games of all time is none other than Grand Theft Auto 6 which took all the time in the world before it becomes official and finally, a trailer is in the horizon which has been promised to arrive in early December. Prior to its release, leaks have been circulating online on what to expect on GTA 6 and here are some of the most interesting leaked details that the game may feature. Note that all these details are from leaks, rumors, and speculations, and nothing is confirmed yet unless Rockstar Games says so or the trailer provides otherwise.
1 GTA 6 Protagonists: Two Playable Characters and First Female Protagonist
One of the most interesting leaks for GTA 6 is that it will reportedly feature two playable characters which would be in some sort of Bonnie and Clyde style named Jason and Lucia. As per the leaks, Jason and Lucia are holding up a diner together. The players could interchange whoever they wish to play in the game. Aside from having dual protagonists, GTA 6 is expected to introduce the very first Latina female protagonist in the game series.
2 GTA 6 May Feature the First Child Character in the Game Series
Aside from having the first female Latina protagonist in GTA 6, leaks also reveal that Lucia may have a child in the narrative of the game who will reportedly be in the storyline cutscenes. If this leak would push through, it would be the first time that there will be a such a young character will debut in GTA 6. However, even before the leak gets into the scene, fans all over the world are already enraged that a child character would be involved in the gruesome narrative of GTA 6.
3 GTA 6 to Borrow Elements from Red Dead Redemption 2
Aside from Grand Theft Auto, Rockstar Games also take pride in another popular game, Red Dead Redemption 2 and since both games are under the same umbrella of Rockstar Games, it would not hurt if one game borrows a feature of another. Leaks suggest that GTA 6 will be borrowing some points from RDR2 like the characters being able to carry loot backs where they can store their cash and supplies like that of the satchel of Arthur Morgan in RDR2. GTA 6 will also reportedly have fence vehicles.
4 GTA 6 will Reportedly Have AI NPCs
AI has been a thing this year and to spice things up for GTA 6, in an interview with Inverse, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick reveals the possibility of including AI NPCs to increase the fun in the interactions of the players to the non-playing characters of the game. Zelnick said,
Everyone’s working on that. You’re a playable character, you’re interacting with the non-playable character. That interaction is currently scripted. And the non-playable characters are generally not very interesting. You could imagine all the NPCs becoming really interesting and fun.
5 GTA 6 to Have Watch Dogs-like Hacking
Ubisoft has its own open-world version of Grand Theft Auto with Watch Dogs and over the years, the two games had been quite a delight to players who like the same style of games. Leaks suggest that GTA 6 could have some hacking-related features straight out of Watch Dogs like USB Drive, Auto Dialer, Tracker Jammer, and Immobilizer Bypass which could prove to be useful in hacking vehicles. Since GTA is a driving game, too, these features could bring more excitement to the players when hacking into the vehicles, making the game more interesting.
6 GTA 6 Map DLCs
A major leak in September 2022 was revealed when a reach of Rockstar Games' server was released online. The said leak reveals that GTA 6 will be in a new Miami-inspired location and this leak has already been confirmed by Rockstar Games as legitimate. Rumors also point to other locations for GTA 6 such as Georgia and Florida. The size of the map of GTA 6 is speculated to be around 10 times bigger than the map size of the last games which brings a bigger world to explore. More than that, @GTAVInewz on X (formerly Twitter) shared a leak that there will be an "ever-evolving map" for GTA 6 and that new cities would be included as the game progresses.
7 GTA 6 May Mark the Return of Single-Player Expansions
Single-Player extensions could mean anything from an extra stories, new maps, new packs, in-game items, expansions, and more. GTA IV has a single-player DLC which puts a single-player move in the game. Now, leaks report that GTA 6 will bring this back after it did not appear in GTA V and RDR2. This leak was reported by Tez2 from GTA Forums where he revealed that single-player DLCs can make a return on GTA 6 and could be released yearly or bi-yearly.
Again, these are just leaked details for GTA 6 and nothing is a better confirmation than the official word of Rockstar Games. Regardless, these leaks hype the release of GTA 6 even more. Now that the trailer for GTA 6 nears as it comes out in early December, more leaks are expected to arrive soon and if these leaks are proven to be true, then, GTA 6 would surely be a top-tier game.
