Now that Rockstar Games already confirmed when we can expect to see the first-ever Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer, GTA fans are already discussing what to expect from the big reveal. Lucia, one of the game's two alleged protagonists, is expected to appear in the teaser trailer along with her partner-in-crime, Jason, the other alleged protagonist of GTA 6, and according to previous leaks, the duo are inspired by the real-life American criminals, Bonnie and Clyde.
Multiple leaks have given us a clearer picture on Lucia's character: She's reportedly Latina, in her late 20s or early 30s, in relationship with Jason, a hacker, and was in jail and fled to Vice City before the events of GTA 6. Of course, these details haven't officially been confirmed by Rockstar Games, but fans are excited to find out more about her character. Now, one source is claiming that she will reportedly have a child that appears in storyline cutscenes, making it the first title in the GTA series to feature a young character.
RockstarUniverse who had insider information about last week’s GTA 6's announcement before going public, wrote:
Internal sources have also confirmed that Lucia has a child who appears in the game’s storyline. This is the first for GTA , and a step forward from having children in-game (but old enough) getting involved in things which they shouldn’t.
However, don't expect to see Lucia's child during the actual gameplay as RockstarUniverse said that the young character will only appear in cutscenes, similar to how Jack Marston was in Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2. Having a child character involved in a Grand Theft Auto storyline would be considered inappropriate because of the franchise's violence and other crime-focused mature themes, but it's assuring to know that Lucia's child will reportedly just appear in cutscenes. Her child might be her source of motivation in GTA 6's storyline and will probably not get involved in crime matters, so the young character's inclusion in the story will likely not be controversial.
What did the GTA 6 leaks show about Lucia and Jason?
When the leaks came out in 2022, various clips revealed a male and female character being controlled, and references to "Lucia" and "Jason". Multiple reports backed up that they will be the main playable characters of GTA 6, with a storyline focused on heists and the real-life story of Bonny & Clyde. The aforementioned details about Lucia certainly gives us a solid picture about her character.
It's possible that Rockstar made significant changes to GTA 6's development since the leaks surfaced last year, so as always, take these unofficial reports with a grain of salt until we get official confirmation. Hopefully, we'll get our first official look at her in the first GTA 6 teaser trailer that's expected to drop early next month.
