Live-action adaptations of anime or manga don't usually reach a success that it was dubbed as a curse to bring those to life but this is what Netflix's One Piece broke after other titles were attempted in the past. Netflix's One Piece proved itself to be an exceptional live-action adaptation that it easily bagged as second season with how much the public loved the show. As One Piece Season 2 has been renewed, Mackenyu, the actor who plays Zoro, teases that there are big surprises happening.
Netflix's One Piece is one of the chosen few which has been best received by the audience in terms of live-action adaptations and this is a huge feat considering that there exists a live-action adaptation curse on those taken from a manga or anime. The success of Netflix's One Piece is expected to continue with the series being renewed for another season which is currently in the middle of its production. With this, Mackenyu who brought Roronoa Zoro to life teased in an interview with Augustman that there are exciting things in store for the upcoming Season 2:
Mackenyu showed his excitement to see Chopper and from his words, it is confirmed that the series is not yet too deep in development. Still, there are a lot of source material for Netflix's One Piece to base on, and there are more exciting things ahead for the Straw Hat pirates from the manga of Eiichiro Oda.
What's next for Zoro in Netflix's One Piece Season 2?

Netflix's One Piece is expected to enter a new story arc from the manga series were they would head to the Grand Line and be involved in a conflict versus the Baroque Works criminal syndicate in an attempt to destabilize the Arabasta Kingdom and conquer it. The Straw Hat Pirates now have a ship of their own from Usopp's friend, Kaya, and they are also looking to expand as they aim to find a doctor to join them. As per Zoro, his story in Season 1 featured how he earned the respect of Mihawk who is currently the world's best swordsman.
With these, Zoro remains part of the Straw Hat Pirates as they journey to their next destination. He will surely be with his swords and after his encounter with Mihawk, he will surely push himself to be better and soon be the holder of the title of the best swordsman in the world, fulfilling his promise to his friend.
