Haikyu: The Dumpster Battle, the first of the two final films for the Haikyu!! franchise, will conclude Shoyo Hinata’s journey featuring plenty of action and emotion on the volleyball court. The anime film had one of the biggest opening weekends in Japan following its February 16 premiere, with a Blu-ray & DVD release also confirmed for October 30, and after its successful run in both Japan and North America, The Dumpster Battle is set to arrive on Netflix, but not the way you expect.
Today, Netflix has released a trailer for Haikyu: The Dumpster Battle on its official X account, and it was also released on YouTube (region-restricted). There, the streamer confirmed that the anime film is scheduled to release on Netflix in "select regions in Asia" this Halloween (October 31), so don't expect it to come out in other regions by then. At this point, the streamer has yet to reveal a North American release date for The Dumpster Battle. The previous TV anime seasons of Haikyuu!! are currently available to stream on both Netlfix and Crunchyroll, so it would be exciting if the film is released in both streaming platforms in North America by the end of this year.
