Rockstar Games will open Grand Theft Auto VI at local midnight in most PlayStation Store territories on November 19, so the digital copy will not go live in every country at the same UTC hour. New Zealand’s storefront is first, at 11:00 UTC on November 18, and later regions then unlock in a westward sequence that lasts into the following morning.
On PlayStation 5, GTA 6 is scheduled to open through 15 separate regional launch slots instead of one shared go-live moment. A digital pre-order placed on the PlayStation Store will unlock according to the country and storefront attached to that account. Players waiting on the same calendar date will therefore receive the game at different hours, depending on which store processed the purchase.
GTAVice reviewed official PlayStation Store listings and assembled a worldwide countdown that currently covers 63 countries and regions. Those store timestamps describe 15 release windows running from 11:00 UTC on November 18 through 06:00 UTC on November 19, a 19-hour span that starts in New Zealand and finishes in Mexico and Central America. The published schedule applies to the digital PlayStation 5 edition, Xbox timing is tracked separately, and the stamps could still change before launch.
The opening window is 11:00 UTC on November 18, which is 12:00 a.m. NZDT on November 19 across New Zealand and 12:45 a.m. in the Chatham Islands. Australia follows at 13:00 UTC, midnight AEDT in Sydney, Melbourne, and Hobart, with earlier local clocks in Adelaide, Brisbane, Darwin, and Perth. Japan and South Korea then unlock together at 15:00 UTC, midnight on November 19 in both territories.
Four UTC+8 storefronts — Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan — open at 16:00 UTC. Indonesia and Thailand follow at 17:00 UTC, midnight on November 19 in Thailand and in Indonesia’s western zone. India occupies its own slot at 18:30 UTC, matching 12:00 a.m. IST.
The United Arab Emirates store unlocks at 20:00 UTC, midnight Gulf Standard Time. Saudi Arabia and Turkey share the 21:00 UTC window at local midnight. Eight UTC+2 territories come next at 22:00 UTC: Bulgaria, Cyprus, Finland, Greece, Israel, Romania, South Africa, and Ukraine.
The largest cluster is Central Europe at 23:00 UTC, midnight CET across Austria, Belgium, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland. A GMT group then opens at 00:00 UTC on November 19 for Iceland, Ireland, Portugal, and the United Kingdom.
South America begins at 03:00 UTC on November 19 for Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay. Bolivia has a dedicated 04:00 UTC stamp that lands at midnight Bolivia Time.
The United States and Canadian PlayStation Stores use one nationwide time of 05:00 UTC on November 19, which is midnight Eastern, 11:00 p.m. Central, 10:00 p.m. Mountain, and 9:00 p.m. Pacific. Atlantic Canada would see 1:00 a.m., or 1:30 a.m. in Newfoundland, while Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, and Peru share that same 05:00 UTC mark at local midnight.
The final confirmed wave arrives at 06:00 UTC on November 19 for Mexico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Mexico’s nationwide store time is midnight Central, which is 11:00 p.m. Mountain and 10:00 p.m. Pacific on November 18 in its western zones.
Several PlayStation Store territories still lack a visible unlock stamp on their product pages. Bahrain, China, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, and Qatar currently show no release timestamp at all. Store links for the Philippines, Russia, Serbia, and Vietnam send shoppers to another country’s storefront instead of listing a local window.
Unlock timing follows the PlayStation Store region on the account that bought the game, not the player’s physical address. A resident of Canada who completed a digital pre-order on the United Kingdom store will receive the title when the UK window opens. Changing a console clock or traveling before launch will not move that store-tied timer.
Xbox Series X and Series S consoles can change region through system settings, so a New Zealand storefront can be selected without creating a new profile. PlayStation 5 unlocks stay bound to the existing account region, and a clock change on the console will not advance the download. Sony and Rockstar could still revise the published stamps before November.
The street date remains November 19, now 71 days away. Anyone who has already pre-ordered can begin pre-loading on November 12, the same date boxed editions that contain a digital download code are scheduled to ship. Rockstar has not disclosed the free storage required for installation, so readers should watch the GTA 6 News Source Facebook page for those figures as they arrive.
