Kadokawa has unveiled a new promotional video and key visual for the television anime of Hello, I Am a Witch and My Crush Wants Me to Make a Love Potion!, the fantasy romance light novel written by Eiko Mutsuhana and illustrated by Vient. The reveal also confirms the opening and ending themes and sets the series for an October 5 television and streaming start in Japan.
The main trailer follows lake witch Rose as royal knight Harij arrives with a request that shatters her four-year crush: he wants her to brew a love potion. Quiet cottage interiors, potion-making, and flustered close-ups give way to warmer domestic beats as the knight keeps returning, while brief appearances by supporting figures widen the circle around the pair. The clip previews the opening theme Kanawanai by Centimillimental and the ending theme Mada Uso ni wa Naranai by Rainy before closing on the October 5 launch.
The companion visual places pink-haired Rose at a sunlit workshop table crowded with flasks, an hourglass, and a tall bottle of violet liquid as silver-haired Harij leans in behind her in a blue tunic and muted cape, with leafy plants, a bright window, and copy about a poignant romance woven around a love potion keeping the image intimate rather than grand.
The same update adds two new cast members to the ensemble already led by Mikako Komatsu as Rose and Yōhei Azakami as Harij. Their roles expand the supporting circle around the witch of the lake and the knight who keeps crossing her threshold.

Keizo Kusakawa, the director of Parallel World Pharmacy, is helming Hi, I'm a Witch, and My Crush Wants Me to Make a Love Potion at studio diomedéa. Wataru Watari, known for Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games, is providing series composition, and Masakazu Ishikawa of The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent is drawing the character designs. Hayato Matsumura is composing the music that will carry the series from heartbreak to the slower thaw that follows.
What is Hello, I Am a Witch and My Crush Wants Me to Make a Love Potion! about?
The story began as a web novel by Eiko Mutsuhana on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in April 2019 and finished its run there in March 2020. Futabasha later issued the tale in print under its M Novels f imprint, with illustrations by Vient, beginning in October 2019 and following with a second volume in March 2020. The series sits in the fantasy romantic comedy lane, mixing potion craft and knightly protocol with the awkward warmth of a shut-in witch who cannot quite put her feelings down.
Cross Infinite World releases the novels digitally in English and has long used the same pitch to introduce Rose and Harij. The publisher describes the series as follows:

Kadokawa collected the sixth compiled volume on February 5, while Yen Press licenses the comic in English as Hi, I'm a Witch, and My Crush Wants Me to Make a Love Potion. The pages keep the lake cottage, the ingredient errands, and the slow change in temperature between witch and knight across a run that has now reached a sizable collected set.
Hello, I Am a Witch and My Crush Wants Me to Make a Love Potion! will premiere on AT-X, Tokyo MX, BS NTV, and RKB Mainichi Broadcasting on October 5, with MBS following on October 6. Streaming begins the same day as the first television airing on d Anime Store and Anime Hōdai, with additional platforms scheduled for October 10. Once the ingredients are on the table and the knight is already in the kitchen, the series will have only its broadcast window to decide whether Rose's unfinished crush stays a secret or finally leaves the bottle.
