Nearly after an entire decade of waiting, fans recently got their first look at what they might expect from the upcoming much-anticipated GTA 6 game. The eagerly awaited trailer was eventually released on December 4, a day before Rockstar Games’ planned schedule since its leaked version had already started making rounds on the internet.
Regardless of this, the trailer ended up breaking three Guinness World Records in the first 24 hours of its release. In less than a day, the official Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer beat the record of YouTube’s MrBeast for the most views on a non-music YouTube video. Therefore, the trailer ended up getting recognized by the Guinness World Records for its excellent performance and made a name for itself in the history books.
Many fans have been busy picking the trailer apart piece by piece in order to get all the information and details they might have missed out on. Through that, they have highlighted a wide range of easter eggs, including references to previous GTA games, memes, real-life landmarks, and much more.
However, there was one such fan who completely went out of his way and ended up recreating the GTA 6 trailer in GTA 5. In a video shared on December 7, YouTuber GTA BELGIUM recreated the entire trailer in Grand Theft Auto 5. The fan-made trailer kicks off in the same manner as the original one, featuring a sunset view shining over the city.
After this, we get a cinematic look at the Bolingbroke Penitentiary in Los Santos County, which somewhat looks similar to what fans saw in the GTA 6 trailer. Regardless of the time differences between both games, the fan-made trailer looks quite impressive. While it’s nearly impossible to make each frame identical to the real thing, the user sure has tried its best to make it flawless.
The fan-made trailer even features a GTA Online character who goes by the name of “Leonida Joker,” like the popular Florida Joker who was apparently referenced in the GTA 6 trailer. Not only this, but he also called out Rockstar Games for parodying him and demanded the developers pay millions.
When is GTA 6’s trailer 2 expected to come out?
Fans are now getting restless after watching the epic first GTA 6 trailer and are busy wondering when they’ll get another official look at the game. However, according to a reputable insider, it looks like fans might have to wait another year or so before Rockstar Games reveals another GTA 6 trailer.
The insider named Tom Henderson defended this claim of his by sharing the gaps between trailers for previous Rockstar titles such as GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2. He said that RDR2’s second trailer came out 11 months after the first, whereas GTA 5’s second trailer was released 17 months after the first. Unfortunately, we aren’t sure how true this might be but for now, it looks like the second trailer is some time away.
GTA 6 will eventually be released in 2025 on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.
