It took 10 years before the game could release another installment in the series as GTA 6 just got its first trailer, giving every fan and viewer a glimpse on what to expect in the game. Along with the release of the trailer, is, of course, a press release from Rockstar Games which uncovered more details about GTA 6. There, it was confirmed in which platforms would GTA 6 be available on upon launch.
The 10-year-wait is finally broken as GTA 6 unveiled its first trailer with a sneak peek on the modern-day Vice City with the same nostalgic feels but newer touches like videos of what happens around the area. As exciting as the details of the game would be, Rockstar Games passed around their press release today which reveals on which platform would GTA 6 be available on when it launches in 2025. While a lot could happen between now until the release of the game, it was revealed that GTA 6 would not come out on PC during the launch of the game.
That being said, it does not mean that there will no longer be GTA 6 on PC ever. Only Rockstar Games could confirm whether that would happen but following the other games from before, having it on one platform and not on another does not mean that it would not be on the platform that did not have it in the whole lifetime of the game. Thus, there may still be GTA 6 on PC in the future but that would just not include the launch of the game.
This shouldn't surprise fans who are familiar with Rockstar's history of releasing games. Grand Theft Auto V was released on PC about a year and a half after the game was released and 5 months after it launched for PS4 and Xbox One. Red Dead Redemption 2 was released on the PC a year after its console version.
Which platforms would GTA 6 be available on upon launch?
Various platforms are available for games to be in but such game would have to be fitted to the said platform. Otherwise, the game will not function. As per the press release of Rockstar Games, GTA 6 would be out on gaming consoles such as Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 on the day of the launch of the game which the trailer confirmed to be sometime in 2025.
The GTA 6 trailer uncovered the modern-day Vice City where the game would be set in, and that Lucia came from prison before being with Jason in a thrilling pursuit versus the police. Parties here and there, and various cars are all over the trailer, too, making the anticipation for GTA 6 build up even more before it finally makes it out in the open.
GTA 6 releases in 2025 on Xbox Series X and S, and PlayStation 5.
