The GTA 6 teaser trailer might have given us a look at a second international location in the upcoming highly anticipated game. At least, this is what many GTA fans seem to think based on a particular scene. Since the second GTA 6 trailer is reportedly a year away, many fans are busy diving into the first reveal trailer and picking it apart piece by piece in order to get some information or small details they might have missed.
As this is exactly what Grand Theft Auto fans have been doing non-stop since the trailer came out, this is how they found a Vice City character hiding right under our noses. They caught a glimpse of an interesting flag in the background of one particular scene in the trailer. In the trailer, there’s a scene in which several characters can be seen riding on dirt bikes and ATVs.
Not only this but in the background, a Haiti flag can possibly be seen.
Some Grand Theft Auto fans have taken this as a deliberate hint that players will be going to Haiti at some point during the game. And this is possible, but there's also a simpler explanation.
While this explanation is on the table, it's worth noting that there's a neighborhood in Miami called Little Haiti. In other words, this may be Vice City's fictional take on this neighborhood. It's also possible the flag in the background is not the Haitian flag but something else.
Unfortunately, right now, all we have is speculation. It wouldn't be surprising if the events of the game took place in an international location, considering Red Dead Redemption 2 does this and considering the Caribbean is right there, begging to be explored. That said, right now, there is not enough here to boldly make any claims. Further, if the game does take players abroad, there is a decent chance Rockstar Games will not reveal it before the game's release, as they kept this part of Red Dead Redemption 2 a secret.
GTA 6 Map Will Reportedly Be 10x Larger Than The Last Game
A user on GTAForums compared the size of the previous Grand Theft Auto maps, and they concluded that GTA 6 could have a map size that is 10 times larger than the last game. They concluded this by observing the trend of how big the newer maps were compared to the old ones and making a prediction on how much bigger the next map could be.
Although this sounds amazing for the game’s fans, they should keep in mind that this is just speculation and not confirmed by Rockstar Games in any way. The developers could also choose to make the map of GTA 6 much smaller than this since filling a map this big with interesting activities would be a challenging task.
Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be released sometime in 2025 for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
