Rockstar Games released the much-anticipated GTA 6 trailer a day earlier than originally planned after a leaked version of the trailer began making rounds on the internet. The trailer turned out to be quite impressive, confirming many rumors and sharing plenty of new info. Moreover, the trailer also gave us a 2025 release date.

Unfortunately, the developers haven’t yet shared any game details, forcing fans to dive deeper into the trailer for more information, which is exactly what they’ve been busy with. The most obvious details that can be taken from the game’s trailer are GTA 6’s Vice City setting as well as the two protagonists, one of whom is a male named Jason and the other a female named Lucia.

However, it’s not always as it seems since there are many more hidden things within the trailer apart from these major details. Although several fans were stunned by the trailer’s graphics and were too busy to observe the finer details, many others were able to overlook the fascinating graphics and notice a wide range of details. From the looks of it, there seems to be a callback to a story from 2017/2018 about a real-life joker in Florida.

For fans who might not know this story, Lawrence Sullivan was first arrested back in 2017 and then once again in 2018. He didn’t commit any mind-blowing crimes, but he did manage to catch national attention due to his resemblance to the Joker. Of course, the character in the GTA 6 trailer is not a one-for-one representation of Sullivan, and there’s no way of knowing if this was the intention of Rockstar Games.

However, that’s exactly how the internet seems to be taking the character. Moreover, considering where GTA 6 is set and the fact that the character was featured on the news for being arrested in the trailer, it’s quite obvious that it’s referencing Sullivan. Unfortunately, there’s no way of knowing for sure. One more thing we don’t know for sure is if this is just a callback for the trailer alone or if it’s an actual character in GTA 6.

However, looking at the nature of the trailer and knowing Rockstar Games, there’s a high chance that it’s the former. Nevertheless, there’s still a chance that this might be a character in the game, as the developers clearly underwent the whole ordeal of performing motion capture for the character and designing him. You can watch the trailer below:

When will GTA 6 come out?

Aside from the game’s trailer, fans have finally got the news they have been waiting for a long time now, which is the official GTA 6 release window. While we haven’t received the exact date yet, we did get a year the game is going to arrive, which is sometime in 2025. Unfortunately, it is some time away, but we’re hoping more game trailers will be released in the meantime.

Moreover, Grand Theft Auto 6 will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X. However, a launch for the PC version wasn’t mentioned, which leads us to believe that Rockstar Games might be following in the footsteps of Red Dead Redemption 2, meaning that they’ll launch a PC version later on.
