2023 had been an eventful year for Rockstar Games from the time when the rumors were out about the upcoming next installment of the Grand Theft Auto series to the official release of the GTA 6 reveal trailer which bagged world records in days after it came out. All eyes are on GTA 6 as Rockstar Games prepare for its arrival in 2025. However, there aren't much information yet on the ins and outs of the game aside from those released and the fans continue to scour for more to have a peek of what the game has in store, even to the animals that would be featured. Here are some of the animals that are confirmed, so far, for GTA 6.
Part of how immersive the Grand Theft Auto franchise is for the gamers is the environment to which the game would be set in. Previous releases of the game like GTA V and GTA Online had their fair share of the wildlife in the fictionalized places where the game is set in. This time, as GTA 6 is about to arrive, the wildlife that the gamers could experience is the game becomes more immersive than ever as it will be set in the fictionalized state of Florida named as Leonida.
The GTA 6 trailer features the wildlife of Leonida
The GTA 6 reveal trailer is, so far, the only clip seen by the fans for the upcoming installment of the game franchise. It teases what the story of the game will be and its setting which will see Leonida in all its grace, even including a familiar city: Vice City which is inspired by Miami. With Leonida being the fictionalized version of Florida in the game, GTA 6 will also immerse itself into the vast wildlife of the place, from its capital city to the outskirts of the place.
The trailer featured the modern Vice City where the hustle and bustle of the people are from day to night, the famous beach where the vibe speaks party, the swamps of the outskirts, and the chaos of the suburbs. Within the scenes are the animals that are to be seen in the game aside from the cars and the characters that the players would be experiencing once GTA 6 comes out.

A Reddit user by the name of Federico1459 also claims that he spotted a bat flying around the city at the 0:31 marker of the trailer. If it is actually a bat, then, that is another animal on the list for GTA 6. See his post on Reddit below:
Aside from those confirmed from the trailer, leaks were also out on the other animals to expect from GTA 6 but they are yet to be seen, possibly coming out on the second trailer of the game which is expected to come out this year, or in the game itself. The leak is reported by GTA Base and the animals that are expected are bobcats, boars, bucks, coves, crayfish, frogs, possums, raccoons, rats, skunks, snakes, squirrels, and whales.
While not from the leaks, the same report also reveals what they expect from the game which include some animals from GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 like beavers, cats, chickens, chipmunks, coyotes, eagles, egrets, foxes, geese, hawks, horses, manatees, pigs, rabbits, spoonbills, and vultures. The leak also said that the game will have hunting and fishing activities like RDR2 which brings in more to the wildlife of the upcoming game. These information are, aside from those in the trailers, still leaks which could or could not be true so take those as a grain of salt without any confirmation yet from Rockstar Games.
GTA 6 is set to come out in 2025 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
