Although the Florida Joker controversy hasn’t reached its end yet, someone else from Florida has come up and is demanding money from Rockstar Games. They claim that there’s another character in GTA 6’s reveal trailer who resembles him quite a lot. Similar to the Florida Joker, the individual posted a TikTok video where he compared the character to himself. While there are a few similarities, there’s no sure way to say if the character is really based on him or not.
The individual demanded Rockstar Games give him and the Florida Joker money as compensation. However, he hasn’t yet disclosed the amount of money he wants from the company, as opposed to the latter, who has now demanded a total of $10 million. Not only this, but he also threatened them that he’d join forces with the young GTA 6 hacker if they didn’t fulfill his demands.
TikTok user @zoeepoppyy recently posted a video, in which he asked Rockstar Games to pay him for featuring a character that’s similar to him in GTA 6’s reveal trailer. The video started with him talking about how people have been highlighting the fact that he doesn’t have enough chains or dreads as compared to the GTA 6 character.
He continued highlighting the similarities between him and the character’s hair, nose, and teeth. However, many fans pointed out that he doesn't have tattoos similar to the character featured in the GTA 6 trailer. While he didn’t threaten Rockstar with some legal action, unlike the Florida Joker, he did ask the studio to pay him and the latter. Some resemblance can be seen between the character and him, but there’s no saying that Rockstar based it on him.
Moreover, there seems to be a slim chance that the company will contact @zoeepoppyy since they haven’t possibly contacted Florida Joker either, who threatened them with legal action and asked for $10 million. Although Rockstar didn’t respond to the threats, some significant Rockstar actors did. Roger Clark, the actor of Red Dead Redemption 2 protagonist Arthur Morgan, asked the Florida Joker to use the popularity to the fullest.
What’s the history between Florida Joker and Rockstar Games?
Following the release of the GTA 6 trailer, Florida Joker surfaced after dying his hair purple and told Rockstar Games that “we gotta talk.” He addressed the issue that the studio has used his likeness in the game’s trailer, but he couldn’t come up with any solid similarities. He doesn’t have any hard evidence except for claiming that the character looks like him. He later filed a legal action against Rockstar, demanding $1 million.
Since the studio didn’t issue any reply or contact him, he posted another TikTok video, giving his final warning to Rockstar for possibly using his appearance and demanded $5 million, instead of $1 million. He later revealed in a video that he needed the money to “take care of my mom for one day of her life.” The latest we heard of the Florida Joker was when he demanded $10 million from Rockstar Games and then threatened the studio by claiming that he’ll join forces with the young GTA 6 hacker.
GTA 6 is set to come out in 2025 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
