Since the reveal of the first trailer of the game, Grand Theft Auto 6 has been the talk of the gaming community. Even before the release of the first look of the game, there are already various rumors circulating about the different details of GTA 6. Recently, a report surfaced about the game length of GTA 6 prior to its 2025 release and that it may only be as long as GTA V. If true, that means that the game will not be any closer to the length of Red Dead Redemption 2.
Rockstar Games has unveiled the first look of Grand Theft Auto 6 with a record-breaking trailer that stunned the whole gaming community. The clip ended the decade-long drought of the GTA games after the release of GTA V and the avid players of the game series have something to look forward to once GTA 6 finally arrives in 2025. As per the length of the game, a new report from a fairly popular YouTuber @LegacyKillaHD on X (formerly Twitter) revealed that from what he heard, GTA 6 would be around 35 to 40 hours long only. Just a caveat, this report is not yet confirmed by Rockstar Games nor anyone involved in the making of GTA 6.
The official game length of GTA 6 has not been revealed yet to the public and would probably be known only when the game comes out in 2025. However, if this would be true, the game could be comparable to GTA V which is around 30 to 50 hours long but a completionist playthrough would be roughly 80 hours. It would be nothing near the 50 hours of Red Dead Redemption 2 which has 50 hours minimum for the completion of the main campaign plus around 80 hours of the side content.
What will GTA 6 be about?
GTA 6 is expected to follow Lucia and Jason, the main protagonists of the game, in Leonida, the fictionalized state of Florida, and a familiar place will be back with Vice City still mirroring Miami. As per the trailer, the story of Lucia would show her time in prison, and her stint with Jason which involves some romantic connection between them while being criminals in their own brand like Bonnie and Clyde. A rumored side story, however, involves Lucia having a child in the game.
The internet remains skeptic as regards having a child character in the game which would be the first in the game series. Still, it would be interesting to see how the makers of GTA 6 would implement such a story for the gamers.
GTA 6 launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2025.
