It was reported that Friday the 13th: The Game will be delisted by the end of 2023, after which it will become unplayable. However, this asymmetric multiplayer horror game was not ready to back down yet, at least not without a fight.
Aside from the delisting announcement, it was also announced that the game's price would also decrease on all platforms. However, this discount alone has done wonders for Friday the 13th, which is currently ranked No. 8 on the “Top Paid” Xbox Sales Charts.
In Friday the 13th, one player takes on the role of the villain, Jason Voorhees, while the rest of them play as unfortunate camp counselors. Initially, the game had a huge community and player base, which started reducing due to a lack of substantial game updates and other problems.
Legal battles regarding the IP of Friday the 13th made sure the game did not release any new major content. However, online multiplayer games are such that they only thrive because of a steady stream of new content to keep the fans engaged. These legal battles were the only cause of the game’s death.

Until the game officially gets delisted, Friday the 13th can be purchased for $4.99 in the US stores and £4.19 on the UK store. The servers of the game will be live for a whole year after its delisting, so multiplayer will be playable till the end of 2024. After this, players will only be able to play the offline modes in the game.
Currently, the game has been functioning on player-hosted servers since late 2020, when the dedicated servers shut down after years of dispute over the license.

Regardless, the game is still way more than playable and should be well worth your time! Friday the 13th is now available for Xbox One, PC, PS4, and Switch.
