The romantic-comedy harem anime The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You will return for a third season in 2026, as announced with a trailer and teaser visual featuring the tagline "I love you infinity." The teaser showcases new character designs for Rentaro Aijo’s ever-growing roster of soulmates. Produced by Bibury Animation Studios, the series continues to adapt the manga, promising more heartfelt chaos and absurd humor for fans.

The third season retains its core staff to ensure continuity in its vibrant presentation. Hikaru Sato returns as director, with Takashi Aoshima handling series composition. Akane Yano reprises her role as character designer and chief animation supervisor, while Mika Nishiyama, who has served as sub-character designer and costume designer since the first season, continues her work. Tsumugi Maeda, who joined as a costume designer in the second season, will also contribute to the upcoming season’s aesthetic.

The anime adapts the manga by Rikito Nakamura and Yukiko Nozawa, serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump since 2019, with 23 volumes as of September 2025. The first season aired in 2023, followed by the second in Winter 2025, which gained attention when Rentaro’s finale speech earned a Guinness World Record for the longest line in a Japanese-language animation.

The voice cast brings the colorful characters to life, led by Wataru Kato as Rentaro Aijo, the earnest protagonist navigating his cosmic romantic destiny. Returning cast members include Kaede Hondo as Hakari Hanazono, Miyu Tomita as Karane Inda, Maria Naganawa as Shizuka Yoshimoto, Asami Seto as Nano Eiai, Ayaka Asai as Kusuri Yakuzen, Sumire Uesaka as Hahari Hanazono, Amane Shindo as Rumi Haragaku, Suzuko Mimori as Mei Meido, Rie Takahashi as Iku Suto, Lynn as Mimimi Utsukushisugi, Kanon Takao as Meme Kakure, and Yuji Ueda as the narrator.

The story blends outrageous humor with heartfelt romance as Rentaro navigates his chaotic love life, cherishing each girlfriend in vibrant, unpredictable scenarios. Seven Seas Entertainment, which licenses the manga in English, describes the premise as follows:

Aijo Rentaro has asked a hundred girls out and struck out every time. In desperation, he prays for guidance, only to be told by a god that his rejections were due to a cosmic mishap! Now this god will set things right by making sure Aijo gets one hundred dates. Except, as things often go with gods, there’s a catch: each of his one hundred dates is Aijo’s destined soulmate! Worse, if he doesn’t return their feelings, they’ll all die in horrible—and hilarious—accidents!
