Yuya Tenjo's double life is about to get a lot more complicated. The isekai fantasy that turned a bullied teenager into a cheat-level hero in two worlds at once is returning to television, and the run-up to the new season has officially begun with a teaser trailer, a key visual, and two new voices joining the cast.
The production team announced the news through an official press release, locking in a January 2027 broadcast and streaming premiere for I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too Season 2. The same announcement delivered the season's first teaser trailer and a new key visual.
The teaser marks the first new footage of Season 2 and confirms the two major additions to the cast. Both newcomers arrive with significant power and presence in the story, setting up fresh confrontations for Yuya as the season approaches.

The announcement also delivered the season's first key visual. It places Yuya and Iris back to back — the cheat-powered hero and the Sword Saint, presented as equals before their official match ever begins — putting the season's central confrontation right in the frame.
Ikumi Hasegawa joins the cast as Iris Knowblade, the Sword Saint. Iris ranks among the strongest of the Saints and is a master swordswoman searching for a man stronger than herself. She takes an interest in Yuya after the two meet in an official match. Hasegawa previously voiced Pop☆Step in My Hero Academia: Vigilantes.
Sora Amamiya voices Mai Kagurazaka, the Saintess. Like Yuya and Kaori, Mai originally comes from the real world, where she served as a shrine maiden before being summoned to the other world. She carries a special power capable of purifying Evil. Amamiya is known as Chizuru Mizuhara in Rent-a-Girlfriend.
Shin Itagaki returns to direct Season 2, with Hiromi Kimura back on character designs and Akiyuki Tateyama and SHIKI composing the music. Millepensee once again handles animation production.
The announcement also spotlights the anime's TV special, which arrives in Japan tomorrow, October 16. Crunchyroll streams the first season and the special.

Yen Press licenses the novels and the manga adaptation in English.
A manga adaptation by Kazuomi Minatogawa launched on ASCII Media Works' Dengeki PlayStation Comic Web in December 2019, and the franchise has since expanded with spinoff light novels including Girls Side.
The first anime season ran for 13 episodes from April to June 2023, with Millepensee producing the animation and Crunchyroll streaming it. Season 2 was announced at AnimeJapan 2026.
Yen Press, which publishes the novels and manga in English, describes the story as follows:
A mysterious door stands open, inviting a boy who's been brutally bullied all his life to take a courageous step forward into the unknown. On the other side, he finds a hoard of priceless artifacts and a world as filled with magic as it is with monsters...
