Ahmed Best might already be a part of the Star Wars Universe, thanks to his iconic role as Jar Jar Binks and his more recent return as the Jedi Kelleran Beq in The Mandalorian. However, it looks like Best is eager to be a part of another major franchise. A new post confirms Best is campaigning to play a comic book hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
Best recently took to his official Instagram account to share a delightful fan art. The image, which was illustrated by internet artist Diesel Funk, shows the actor as Adam Brashear aka Blue Marvel.
"I think I would make a dope #bluemarvel," he wrote before tagging Marvel boss Kevin Feige and the official Instagram accounts of Marvel and Marvel Studios. "As my mother would say #manifesting LOL," Best added.
It's certainly a great look on Ahmed Best and Blue Marvel could be a great character to introduce into the MCU. We're truly supporting Best on the casting and hopefully, Feige and Marvel Studios will pay attention soon.
Who is Blue Marvel?
Blue Marvel, also known as Adam Bernard Brashear, made his debut in Marvel Comics in 2008 through Adam: Legend of the Blue Marvel #1. Created by Kevin Grevioux and Mat Brome, this character possesses an array of incredible abilities, including superhuman strength, speed, and heightened mental perception. With aliases like the Blue Bomber of Battle and The Man of Marvels, Blue Marvel has established himself as a formidable presence in the Marvel Universe. His character also shares a connection with the iconic Tony Stark, adding depth and complexity to his role within the Marvel Comics universe.
Interestingly, this is not the first time that Best has campaigned to join the MCU. He previously expressed his interest in playing Mister Fantastic, who is set to be one of the major players in the MCU's Fantastic Four reboot. However, the casting for the four lead characters in the remake has not yet been officially announced.
Best recently rejoined the Star Wars Universe as Kelleran Beq who helped save Grogu from Order 66. The Jedi Master was featured in the fourth episode of The Mandalorian Season 3 where the Child finally remembered his past during a meeting with the Armorer. Beq's fate is still unknown but there is hope that he will return in the next season of The Mandalorian.
