Loki Season 2 is undoubtedly one of the most highly anticipated debuts of the year so it's no surprise that the premiere has kicked off with impressive viewership numbers on Disney+. It has just been confirmed that the Marvel Cinematic Universe show's debut is currently the second biggest season premiere of the year on the streaming platform. Interestingly, it almost defeated The Mandalorian Season 3's stellar debut last March!
According to Deadline, Loki Season 2 garnered 10.9 million global views over its initial three days of streaming. It's certainly a strong start for the Marvel show. After all, the first season had already gained recognition as Disney+'s most-watched Marvel series in May 2022.
But how well did Loki Season 2 do against The Mandalorian Season 3? Disney+ has never released the official numbers for the Star Wars show. However, Nielsen reported that the third season of the series garnered over 823 million viewing minutes in its first few days on the streaming service.

If the numbers are precise, this would mean that Loki still has a long way to go before it could match The Mandalorian Season 3. Still, there are a few more episodes to go and only time will tell if the show could eventually defeat the Star Wars series.
The first episode of Loki Season 2 offered a time-twisting adventure that reintroduces fans to the mischievous God of Mischief, along with familiar characters such as Sylvie, Mobius, and Hunter B-15. Notably absent thus far are Kang the Conqueror and Ravonna Renslayer, except for an audio recording featuring the duo. However, the premiere introduces Ke Huy Quan's O.B., who has quickly won over fans and become a new favorite character in the series. With its compelling storyline and engaging characters, Loki Season 2 continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
When is Loki Season 2 Episode 2 coming to Disney+
The second episode of Loki Season 2 is set to premiere on Thursday, October 12, 2023.
