Maiden Blood arrives as an original dark fantasy from Polygon Pictures with a firm 2027 broadcast start date. The series dives into a shattered reality ruled by an Evil God after the first failure of the “Renewal of the World,” where humanity’s raw refusal to die rewrote the end of Armageddon and left the survivors as playthings in a sunless nightmare.
The newly released teaser trailer presents intense CGI action as the sisters Eva and Epica weaponize blood against demonic forces in a sunless world. Dialogue highlights Eva’s determination to reclaim her sister’s stolen soul while Epica acknowledges her dependence on Eva’s blood, ending with a clear “Coming in 2027” message.
A striking key visual has also been shared, capturing the dark atmosphere and the bond between the two leads at the heart of the story.

The creative team is led by director Seiji Kishi, whose previous credits include Blue Orchestra, Angel Beats!, and Tsuki ga Kirei. Series composition falls to Makoto Uezu, recognized for KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World!. Illustrator LAM provides the original character designs, while the music is handled by Keiichi Okabe (known for contributions to NieR: Automata), Kuniyuki Takahashi (associated with My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax), and Taichi Joraku.
