Shinichi Fukuda's romantic comedy manga series, My Dress-Up Darling (Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru), is getting a live-action adaptation, and on Wednesday, MBS has revealed two versions of the trailer, which highlights the relationship between Wakana Gojō and Marin Kitagawa. The trailer also previews the opening theme song, Princess Hero, performed by Chō Tokimeki Sendenbu, as well as the ending theme song, Lovely Baby, by the band PEDRO. Iko Nagase (Child of Kamiari Month, live-action Insomniacs After School) and Kōta Nomura (live-action My Girlfriend's Child, Perfect Propose) are playing the live-action versions of Marin Kitagawa and Wakana Gojō, respectively.

Kōji Shintoku (live-action Honey So Sweet, Honey Lemon Soda, Peach Girl) is directing the live-action My Dress-Up Darling series, with scripts written by Satoko Okazaki (episodes of Tiger & Bunny, Laughing Under the Clouds, and live-action Waiting for Spring). The series is produced by Kyōdō Television.
The live-action My Dress-Up Darling series is scheduled to premiere in the Dramaism programming block on MBS on October 8, 2024 at 24:59 (effectively, October 9 at 12:59 a.m.), and it will also air on TBS.
What is My Dress-Up Darling about?
The live-action My Dress-Up Darling series is based on the manga written and illustrated by Shinichi Fukuda. The romantic comedy series began serialization in Square Enix's Young Gangan in January 2018, and as of May 2024, 13 volumes have been published. It also received an anime adaptation produced by CloverWorks, and it aired from January to March 2022, consisting of 12 episodes. A second season has been announced but no release date has been confirmed yet.
