Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 has dropped a new teaser trailer and official stills that pick up the instant an aged stranger blocks Rudeus from following the Human-God into his own basement. The preview does not tease another fortress battle. It frames the next hour around the claim that the visitor came from the future, and around the disasters he says Rudeus is about to walk into.
Last week’s installment, Turning Point 4, closed the immediate aftermath of the trip to Perugius’ floating fortress and Nanahoshi’s treatment. After Rudeus returned home, the Human-God appeared again and told him to inspect the basement of his house, only for a mysterious old man claiming to be Rudeus from the future to stop him before he could go downstairs.
Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 Episode 12 premieres on September 13, 2026 in Japan. TOHO animation has posted a new teaser trailer for the episode, narrated by Rudeus, that leans on the idea that the peaceful days he thought he could protect may not last.
New stills for the episode have also been released. They highlight the sudden arrival of the aged visitor and the tense exchange that follows. Check them out in the image gallery below:
What is Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 Episode 12 about?
The official synopsis is brief and pointed. An old man who appears without warning tells Rudeus, “I came from the future.” While Rudeus stands there bewildered, the visitor begins to describe cruel and tragic events that he says will soon befall Rudeus himself, along with the figure he names as the cause of it all.
The episode is titled An End and a Beginning. It adapts a pivotal stretch of Rifujin na Magonote’s light novel series, the source material for the Studio Bind anime, and continues the season’s movement through the material that follows the Eris Training stretch into the later Chaos Breaker and Summoning-related chapters. Rather than another large battle, the hour is built around the conversation itself, the identity of the old man, and the warning that Rudeus should not follow the Human-God’s latest instruction.
That conversation has long been treated as a turning point in the novels because it recasts the advice Rudeus has been receiving and forces him to weigh a future he has not yet lived. Episode 12 is positioned as the close of the current broadcast arc’s setup, with the visitor speaking not only about coming disasters but about who is responsible for them. The stills and teaser keep the focus on Rudeus’ shock and the grim tone of what he is about to hear.
Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 streams on Crunchyroll. Eleven episodes of the season are now available on the service, with Episode 12 following the regular weekly window after its Japanese broadcast.
