The GTA 6 trailer features a Tom Petty song titled Love is a Long Road. The late singer is not a stranger to Grand Theft Auto as his other song, Runnin' Down A Dream, was previously featured in GTA San Andreas. Fans theorize that the song means more than just its vibe and various comments from GTA Forums show how the fans connect the song to the story of GTA 6 like user VercettiGuy who said, "Don't know if that's been said before, but while the trailer highlights Lucia — the song playing, ‘Love is a Long Road’ by Tom Petty, could very well be from Jason's perspective. Petty at least sings it about a girl.”
2 GTA 6 Trailer: Lucia's Warden in Prison is Like Michael in GTA V
The scenes of the GTA 6 trailer begins with Lucia in prison and the warden with her, Warden Stephen, asked her, “Do you know why you’re here?” and Lucia, supposedly playing coy with the warden, replies, "Bad luck, I guess." This exchange between the warden and Lucia seems to give a throwback to the first dialogue of Michael in the GTA V trailer where he said, “Why did I move here? Two scenes from the GTA 6 trailer highlights the flourishing night life of Vice City which mirrors what the night life in Miami is like in real life. First, there was the scene at a strip club where men and women are watching some dancers around the club and there were even sparklers used to serve beers. The other scene is from a club with music seemingly blasting at the same time as the lights and people are dancing all around while a DJ is in the middle.
6 GTA 6 Trailer: Waters are now transparent!
The next scene shows the expanse of Leonida and eagle-eyed fans noticed that there must be something in the water. It is finally transparent and the scene perfectly shows this as those under the water can now be seen, much like that in real life, too. Before, waters in Grand Theft Auto games just looked like a white mesh, but now, the GTA 6 trailer even features waves which is more realistic than ever. 7 GTA 6 Trailer: Vice City's Day Parties and the Building Interiors
Parties in Miami are not only done during the night as the trailer shows Vice City's day parties teeming with life. Of course, it wouldn't be similar to Miami without pool parties, drinks, and babes clad in their best bikinis. Shown in the scene is Lucia having the time of her life with a woman in red in the pool, where, again, the clear and transparent waters are seen, and other partygoers in the background. Also, the buildings seen in the GTA 6 trailer are more life-like with its interiors.
8 GTA 6: Trailer: Vice's City's Sign
It has been long rumored that GTA 6 would return to Vice City years after the place was first featured in Grand Theft Auto. Now, it is finally confirmed and what better way to confirm a place than to see its huge sign draped all over the whole stretch of a scene? Well, this is a nostalgic part but it also sets how much the place has changed over the years. The next clips were even taken from modern-day apps similar to TikTok and Instagram which just goes to show how modernized the game would be once it comes out.

The clever usage of social media posts on the GTA 6 trailer sets it to how modernized the world is in the game. More than that, some of the scenes from the social media posts are reminiscent of that of real life events that happened in Florida. Seen first is the rich man on a yacht which seems to be enjoying his time with some youngsters on Spring Break. Some fans online even relate the scene to Jeff Bezos who was previously reported having some time on his yacht with Lauren Sánchez.

When there are everglades, there are alligators because these reptiles love these places. Everglades were seen in the first part of the GTA 6 trailer and in real life, these swamps are the most suitable ecosystem for these reptiles. Karens make this world an intriguing place to be in. The term "Karen" is a slang for an entitled woman who thinks that her behavior is normal. In Florida, a Karen made it to the daily news as she asserts her dominance through carrying two hammers on both hands and this Florida Karen made it to the GTA 6 trailer as well. The scene is quite similar to the video that went viral in real life and it just shows how the GTA 6 trailer took real life references to give a more realistic experience in the game. 15 GTA 6 Trailer: Weazel News is Back At It Again
Weazel News has finally become a staple in Grand Theft Auto appearing in both GTA 4 and GTA V. This time, it is making a come back in GTA 6 as it was seen twice making reports on a "no (over) turning zone" featuring a crash on the road where a car is upside down, and "dirt-bike dirt-bags" where thugs evaded the cops of the place through motorcycles claiming that they terrorize Vice City. Well, Weazel News, GTA 6 is finally here and you can now come back.
16 GTA 6 Trailer: Real-Life Florida Joker
Of all the real life events covered by the GTA 6 trailer, the "Florida Joker" is one of the most popular that fans immediately recognized him being parodied in the trailer. In the trailer, his face is plastered on the news where he dons a purple hair and his face tattoos. In real life, the "Florida Joker" is 30-year-old Lawrence Patrick Sullivan who, in 2017, got his mug shot which went viral because of his appearance. On TikTok, Sullivan revealed that he is not happy on how he was referenced in the GTA 6 trailer saying, “You know they got that character with the face tattoos, you know who they got that inspired by? Well, Grand Theft Auto has the word "auto" for a reason and that is, clearly, because it involves cars and what better way to have them in the game than to have races, right? At a point in the trailer of GAT 6, there were bikers who were showing off their skills in what seems to be a race. In another, there were also speedboats racing while near the Vice City port. All in all, the races are not just through cars and who knows? Maybe, soon, there would be plane races, too!

Over the years, Grand Theft Auto has its fair share of iconic beverages from different games. Beers are usually staples in the game and making a comeback in the GTA 6 trailer are some familiar and famous beers like Logger Beer, Patriot Beer, and the Piswasser beer. This remains a theory but fans are already pointing it out that the voice of Jason, Lucia's partner and seemingly lover, is a familiar one from another game. Fans are convinced that the voice behind Jason is Troy Baker, the same actor who voiced Joel Miller from The Last of Us. In just a word, the fans think that Troy Baker is the voice behind Jason and the resemblance is uncanny! Other than The Last of Us, Troy Baker also voiced Batman, Robin, and Joker in different Batman animated shows. However, there is still no confirmation from Troy Baker nor Rockstar Games whether he is actually the voice of Jason but if you hear it, it really sounds similar.
20 GTA 6 Trailer: Leonida is Huge!
The last on the list is, of course, how huge Leonida is. Leonida is the fictionalized state of Florida in GTA 6 and it includes Vice City. This only goes to show how massive the game is with the different parts of the place featured throughout the GTA 6 trailer and the expanse showed in the trailer proves the vast virtual playground that the players could explore when the game arrives. Vice City coming back is a great start but to have it explored more is another thing. From the busy city that it is, to the everglades of the countryside, the territory to explore in GTA 6 seems promising.
Overall, the GTA 6 trailer brought so many details about the upcoming game that in just a minute and a half of it, the trailer literally rocked the world. After all, it took a decade of wait for the trailer to arrive and with such a tease, the wait was all worth it.
