In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, more often than not, actors usually hold a role until the role finally rests in the narrative. However, in the most peculiar circumstances, there are some who gets replaced in the middle of their portrayal of the role due to surprising reasons and one of those is Jonathan Majors who was recently fired by Marvel Studios. Now, he will reportedly be replaced by the Fear the Walking Dead actor, Colman Domingo.
Marvel Studios recently fired Jonathan Majors as the main villain of the current MCU saga, the Multiverse Saga, following his guilty conviction from a case filed by his former lover for assault which happened earlier last year. As the current story of the MCU needs an effective villain which could level or go beyond that of Thanos, the role of Kang the Conqueror still holds being the biggest threat as the main villain of the story. Now, according to film scooper Daniel Richtman, Colman Domingo will reportedly be replacing Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror in the MCU.
Colman Domingo is best known for his role as Victor Strand in Fear The Walking Dead and he even directed episodes of the said series. His other works include his appearances in The Knick, Netflix's Lucifer, and Horace and Pete.
What happens next for Kang the Conqueror in the MCU?
Kang the Conqueror is the next big villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the franchise enters the Multiverse Saga. Jonathan Majors first appeared as the variant of the villain in Loki Season 1 as He Who Remains, the one who kept the single timeline in the MCU before being killed by Loki's variant, Sylvie. Majors later returned in the MCU as the villain of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania as Kang the Conqueror but was defeated in by Ant-Man by the end of the movie, with the fate of the villain unknown.
In the post-credits scene of Quantumania, there was a tease of the many variants of Kang the Conqueror like Scarlet Centurion, Immortus, and Rama-Tut, plus some other variants that were seemingly going to a Kang convention. Majors returned in Loki Season 2 as Victor Timely whose fate was unfortunate being a casualty but was later saved by the titular God of Mischief. Now, the fate of Kang remains highly anticipated with the upcoming Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars.
