Bride of the Barrier Master originated as a light novel series written by Kureha with illustrations by Bodax. The story follows Hana Ichise, a young woman from a branch family of one of Japan's five powerful barrier-weaving magical clans. The romantic fantasy novels are published by Kadokawa Shoten under the Kadokawa Bunko imprint, beginning in December 2021. A manga adaptation illustrated by Odayaka started serialization in Enterbrain's B's Log Comic in March 2022.
