The previously-announced new anime remake of Case Closed creator Gosho Aoyama's Yaiba manga has released a brand-new teaser trailer and visual, revealing the new anime adaptation's main cast and production staff. WIT Studio is producing the animation of the Yaiba remake, officially titled Shin Samurai-den Yaiba, which currently doesn't have a confirmed release date. The trailer highlights the titular little samurai protagonist in action, featuring the manga's classic old school character designs with better animation than the original anime. The new remake is directed by Takahiro Hasui (Mob Psycho III), with series composition by Toko Machida (Kemono Michi: Rise Up), and chief animation direction and character designs by Yoshimichi Kameda (Mob Psycho 100). The music of the anime is composed by Yoshiaki Dewa (Hell's Paradise) and Yutaka Yamada (Vinland Saga) .

What is Yaiba about?
The new Yaiba remake is the second anime adaptation of Gosho Aoyama's manga series that was serialized on Shogakukan's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Sunday from September 1988 to December 1993, with its chapters compiled in 24 tankōbon volumes. The first anime adaptation, titled Kenyū Densetsu Yaiba, was produced by Pastel and ran for 52 episodes from April 1993 to April 1994.
