Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment paired a new trailer and visual with a country-by-country calendar for Witch on the Holy Night, the feature animated by ufotable. The film will begin its worldwide theatrical run in January 2027, and screenings in the United States and Canada open on January 29, 2027. The presentation will be Japanese with English subtitles as well as an English dub.

What is Witch on the Holy Night about?
Witch on the Holy Night adapts Type-Moon’s 2012 visual novel of the same name, later remastered with full voice acting and HD visuals for consoles and PC. The work sits in Type-Moon’s shared Nasuverse and plays as a largely linear coming-of-age fantasy rather than a branching dating sim. Kinoko Nasu wrote the story, which unfolds in the late 1980s during the twilight of Japan’s Showa era and follows an ordinary boy who stumbles into the closed world of two young witches.
