A French retail document has quietly listed a Nintendo Switch 2 version of Grand Theft Auto VI only weeks before the title’s planned launch. The same paperwork also points to several unannounced collector packages spanning more than one platform. Those unexpected listings have immediately drawn attention from fans tracking every scrap of information about GTA 6.
As first reported by NotebookCheck.net, the details come from a commercial-offer PDF hosted by French retailer Cdiscount. That file spells out which games are excluded from a store promotion and unexpectedly names the Rockstar open-world title across multiple hardware configurations. The listing remains unofficial and has not been confirmed by Nintendo or Rockstar.
French Nintendo site SwitchActu circulated the Cdiscount document on X after finding it inside the terms of a promotional deal. Readers first noticed references to a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and to an earlier-leaked Zelda 40th Anniversary console bundle plus related accessories. The same exclusion text also named the Rockstar crime saga and listed separate product configurations for every major platform.
Retail paperwork of this kind deserves skepticism, because a handheld GTA 6 build would place heavy demands on the Nintendo Switch 2. Digital Foundry’s breakdown of Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look argued that even the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles will struggle to stay above 30 frames per second. The same analysis suggested a high-end gaming PC could also have trouble rendering the dense open world at higher frame rates.
Prior Leak About a Nintendo Switch 2 Release of GTA 6
Talk of a Nintendo Switch 2 edition did not begin with the Cdiscount file. In November 2025, insider NateTheHate said Rockstar had already run tests to see whether GTA 6 could run on the hybrid hardware at all. He was careful to add that those experiments did not automatically mean a finished product would ever ship.
NateTheHate also said an effort had been made to evaluate the platform, that he did not know the current status of that work, and that publishers often test hardware without committing to a release. Later insider reports described more advanced porting steps, including subcontracted Switch 2 specialists, even though Rockstar itself has stayed silent.
Cdiscount also lists Deluxe, Premium, Collector’s and Ultimate Collector’s Editions of GTA 6 for the Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox consoles. Competing retailers currently show pre-order SKUs only in Standard and Ultimate Editions. GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, and Rockstar has so far confirmed support only for PS5 and Xbox hardware.
