Ahsoka has already introduced a lot of memorable creatures but it all started with the adorable Loth-cat that has been living with Sabine Wren in Lothal. Sadly, we haven't seen the furry critter since Sabine decided to join Ahsoka Tano in the search for Ezra Bridger but that has changed as Star Wars provided a cool update on the animal. A new TikTok video offers a laidback countdown to the final episode of Ahsoka and the announcement has just revealed the Loth-cat's name!
The official Star Wars X (formerly Twitter) has confirmed that the franchise's TikTok account is currently livestreaming the sleeping Loth-cat in preparation for the Ahsoka finale. The announcement also confirms that Sabine's cute companion is named Murley.
It's an unexpected promo for Ahsoka Episode 8 considering that we haven't seen Murley for a long, long time. Nevertheless, fans are hoping that the Loth-cat is safe back in Lothal and has plenty of food and water as he waits for Sabine's return. Or maybe one of the Ghost crew has decided to babysit the creature for now.
You can enjoy the stream on TikTok as we all wait for the final episode of the first season of Ahsoka. But what can we expect in Episode 8? The return of Murley seems to suggest that Sabine could return to Lothal with Ahsoka Tano and Ezra Bridger. After all, Loth-cats have always been important to the Star Wars Rebels characters, especially for Ezra. It's a hopeful idea considering that the three are still stuck in Peridea with the intention to prevent Grand Admiral Thrawn from leaving the galaxy.
For now, it is unclear how Season 1 will end. However, there is a possibility that there will be a teaser towards the future as the series is expected to be renewed for a second season.
Ahsoka Episode 8 will be directed by Rick Famuyiwa but the episode has not yet been given an official title. The season finale will premiere on Disney+ on October 3, 2023.
