Netflix Reveals New Stills For Melo Movie Starring Choi Woo-shik, Park Bo-young, Lee Jun-young & Jeon So-nee

Netflix's Melo Movie is coming will be released this Valentine's Day.

Netflix has released new stills for the highly-anticipated drama Melo Movie to showcase the show's four stellar cast: Choi Woo-shik, Park Bo-young, Lee Jun-young, and Jeon So-nee. Melo Movie is a romantic drama that follows the film-like journey of uncertain thirty-something young adults yearning for both dreams and love. The K-drama features individuals who pursue their dreams while they balance love in adulthood as they try to find inspiration in one another and overcome their own personal struggles.

The first batch of character stills features Choi Woo-shik (A Killer Paradox, Parasite) as Ko Gyeom, who's described to be a lifelong cinephile turned film critic. He crosses paths with Mubee, a rising director with a complex past. Netflix teased that they have history together, but an unexpected incident caused them to depart from each other — until fate brings them back to confront each other, facing both old wounds and sparks.

Park Bo-young (Daily Dose of Sunshine, Strong Girl Bong-soon) plays Kim Mu-bee, a film hater who reluctantly becomes a director due to her complex love-hate relationship with her a father, a movie enthusiast. Her life becomes is shaken-up further when Ko Gyeon re-enters her world, entangling her in a web of complicated emotions.

Lee Jung-young (Mask Girl, Badland Hunters) takes on the role of Hong Si-jun, an aspiring musician, a self-proclaimed genius, and Gyeom's best friend. His life changes when he reunites with Son Ju-a, his ex-lover whom he dated for a long time and who has become a successful screenwriter. The stills give us a glimpse of Si-jun's empty gaze reflecting the loss and pain he endured following their break-up.

Jeon So-nee (Parasyte: The Grey, Our Blooming Youth) portrays Son Ju-a, Hong Si-jun's lover and Ko Gyeom's friend who finds inspiration by looking at their relentless pursuit of their ambitions, which eventually motivates her to become a screenwriter. Her journeys with Si-jun parallels the main plot as they explore the love in adulthood while they pursue their dreams.
