Jonathan Majors made a memorable debut in the first season of Loki as He Who Remains, a formidable Kang Variant. However, fans may be surprised to learn that there was another Kang slated for Season 1. But why remove the debut of a second Kang Variant in the Marvel Cinematic Universe series? As it turns out, the decision has a lot to do with the show being too overcrowded.
Loki executive producer Kevin Wright has revealed that Victor Timely was originally planned for Loki Season 1 (via Moviefone). However, the character, who was glimpsed in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania's post-credits scene, was ultimately removed from the first season. The reason for Timely's exclusion? According to Wright, there was simply "too much story" to cover in the season.
“I think for us, it wasn’t a challenge. I think the fun thing was, we knew we wanted to do Victor," he said. "Victor was an idea that we were trying to get into season one, and it was just never going to be able to fit because there’s too much story. But it was exciting because the last thing we’re hearing is that war’s coming. All of these terrible things are happening, and then the most unexpected version of this guy pops up, and he pops up in the past. That was exciting.”

This is an interesting revelation considering that most fans complained that Majors' appearance in the first season was too brief. It would also be amazing to meet Victor Timely and learn more about him before the big reveal. However, fans of the character need not be disappointed, as Victor Timely is set to make an appearance in Loki Season 2, which is currently streaming on Disney+.
When Will Victor Timely debut in Loki Season 2?
It has already been revealed that Jonathan Majors will portray the character in at least three episodes in the upcoming season, adding more Kang-centric content to the MCU. This move reinforces the anticipation around Kang's involvement in the franchise, especially with the announcement of the next Avengers film titled The Kang Dynasty.

While Kang's storyline excites fans, it's worth noting that Jonathan Majors has been embroiled in public legal battles, which have been referred to as "complicated" by those involved with Loki. Marvel Studios, as a whole, has remained tight-lipped about the matter, raising questions about the future of these legal concerns.
Victor Timely has not yet made an appearance in the second season of Loki. In the meantime, the third episode of the MCU series is already set to premiere on Disney+ on October 19, 2023.
