Jonathan Majors is going viral for an unexpected reason. The controversial Marvel Cinematic Universe star is making the rounds on the internet after a video of Majors stopping a fight between two high school girls was dropped. Interestingly, the video was released right before the actor's scheduled court date and people have a lot to say about the news.
The Lovecraft County star recently showcased his real-life heroism in a video shared by TMZ. The clip captures the actor stepping into the midst of a heated altercation at Hollywood High School, taking decisive action to quell the conflict while bystanders watch.
In the video, two female students are engaged in a heated physical altercation on a Monday afternoon. Hollywood High School happens to be located directly across the street from an In-N-Out restaurant, where the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star had stopped to grab a meal. Despite the notable size difference between Majors and the combatants, the altercation continues unabated, with both students persisting in their hostilities even with his intervening. Eventually, Majors successfully separates the students and restores order to the situation.
Majors' courageous intervention showcases his willingness to step in and prevent further harm. However, some people believe it is a PR stunt to show the actor in a positive light ahead of his scheduled court date this Friday.
Since then, Majors' lawyer has responded to allegations that the video was a PR stunt. Priya Chaudhry shared a statement shortly before the actor's latest court hearing on the misdemeanor case.
"Suggesting that the video of Mr. Majors breaking up the fight is staged is absurd," Chaudhry told Insider. "One of the girls at the school has come out today and confirmed it was real."
Majors is currently being charged with six counts of assault and three counts of harassing ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. He is also set to play a new Kang Variant named Victor Timely in Loki Season 2, which premieres on Disney+ on October 6, 2023
