The Conjuring Universe started in 2013 based on the paranormal investigations of Ed and Lorraine Warren which grew into a whole franchise through prequels and spinoffs. James Wan, the man behind the scenes, made nine movies so far for this franchise and with a potential of having more in the future considering that The Conjuring 4 is already underway. Aside from The Conjuring Universe, Wan also created Saw and Insidious.

1 The Nun (2018)
Year: 1952
The prequel that shows where it all started, The Nun follows a priest and a novice in investigating the mysterious death of a nun at Saint Cartha's monastery. Along the way, they discover the most sinister being, lurking in the shadows, and taking in one of the most blasphemous forms an evil could ever take. The priest and the novice unravel the unholy secret that the convent has been hiding which explains the events prior to their visit.
2 Annabelle: Creation (2017)
Year: 1955
Annabelle: Creation unveils the origins of the haunted Annabelle doll from the time it was made up to what made the doll an evil one. It revolves around a nun and a group of six orphans taken in by a doll-maker and his wife. As the children tries to settle down, an ancient evil haunts the place through the same doll that the maker did.
3 The Nun 2 (2023)
Year: 1956
The latest movie released in The Conjuring Universe is The Nun 2 which took place four years after the first The Nun movie. It follows Sister Irene as she was summoned to investigate a series of deaths which could be connected to her mission in Saint Cartha's monastery. The Nun 2 introduces Storm Reid into the franchise as Sister Debra, a novice under the tutelage of Sister Irene.
4 Annabelle (2014)
Year: 1967
Honestly, who would want a doll that looks like her? Annabelle revolves around a pregnant housewife who witnessed the death of a cult member who ran into their house. She collects scary-looking dolls and encounters the titular evil doll, only to find that it would bring hell into her home, because the entity wants something more than just being a doll.
5 The Conjuring (2013)
Year: 1971
The beginning of it all, the first movie to ever release in the franchise is The Conjuring which follows the Perron family who asked for the help of Ed and Lorraine Warren, paranormal investigators and experts. The Perron family moved into a house on Rhode Island where they encounter strange occurrences which challenges the love of a mother to her children.
6 Annabelle Comes Home (2019)
Year: 1972
Annabelle Comes Home is the ultimate crossover of The Conjuring and Annabelle. Ed and Lorraine Warren collects pieces of history from each of their investigations which later became "The Warren's Occult Museum." It follows Judy Warren, daughter of Ed and Lorraine, who was left home with her babysitter, while Annabelle was in the occult museum, awakening the evil spirits attached to the items in the artifacts room to wreak havoc.
7 The Curse of La Llorona (2019)
Year: 1973
A spinoff of The Conjuring Universe, The Curse of La Llorona follows the Latin American folklore of La Llorona about a woman who died of sorrow after losing her children. It revolves around a caseworker who stumbles upon the case of a mother who locked her children up. The children were found dead moments after being freed. The caseworker found herself experiencing the same horrors as the case she worked on.
8 The Conjuring 2 (2016)
Year: 1977
Ed and Lorraine Warren continues to do paranormal investigations after their fame from the Amityville case, and they help the Hodgson family being haunted by a malevolent entity which later became known as the Enfield poltergeist. One of the children was possessed by the supernatural being but what Lorraine and Ed discovers unravel a power beyond what they can imagine.
9 The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021)
Year: 1981
The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It slightly deviates from other movies as it follows the murder trial of Arne Cheyenne Johnson who denies culpability through claiming the defense of being demonically possessed. Ed and Lorraine Warren came to help as they found a similar case of a person who could be a key evidence to support the claim of Arne. As they investigate, they discover the evil that hides beneath.
