The upcoming anime adaptation of Hero Without a Class: Who Even Needs Skills?! has released a vibrant new trailer, offering fans a glimpse into its action-packed world, memorable characters, and musical flair. Revealed on Friday, the trailer showcases the opening theme song, Reincarnation by Kaya, and the ending theme, Kiseki Nanka Iranai by UTAHIME DREAM ALLSTARS. Alongside these musical highlights, the trailer confirms the series will premiere on October 1, setting the stage for an exciting fall anime season.
The anime, produced by Studio A-Cat, boasts a talented voice cast, bringing the story’s characters to life. Kensho Ono stars as Arel, the determined protagonist, joined by Saori Hayami as Raina, Sumire Uesaka as Lilia, and Rumi Okubo as Kufa. Under the direction of Kaoru Yabana, with series composition by Chabo Higurashi, the production team is rounded out by character designers Takayuki Chiba and Xuewen Xu, and composer Kent Asahina, who crafts the series’ musical score.

What is Hero Without a Class about?
The anime is based on the light novel series Hero Without a Class: Who Even Needs Skills?! by Shichio Kuzu, with illustrations by Yumehito Ueda. Originally serialized online on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website from November 2017 to May 2020, the series gained a dedicated following before being picked up by Earth Star Entertainment. The publisher began releasing the light novels under its Earth Star Novel imprint in July 2018. Additionally, a manga adaptation, illustrated by Akio Nanae, launched in November 2018 on Earth Star Entertainment’s Comic Earth Star website, further expanding the series’ reach. The manga has been licensed in English by One Peace Books, making the story accessible to a global audience.
The story follows Arel, a young boy born into a world where everyone is assigned a Class and Skills at the age of ten, defining their future paths. However, Arel’s life takes an unexpected turn when he discovers he has no class or skills. One Peace Books describes the narrative as follows:
