The second season of the anime Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku, adapted from Yūji Kaku's acclaimed manga, has released a new promotional trailer on January 7, 2026, spotlighting the ending theme performed by the rock band QUEEN BEE.

The latest trailer previews the ending song PERSONAL, showcasing QUEEN BEE's signature intense and atmospheric style that aligns perfectly with the series' grim, action-packed narrative. Known for their powerful vocals and genre-blending sound, the band adds a layer of emotional depth to the visuals, which tease heightened stakes on the deadly island of Shinsenkyo. The video highlights returning protagonists amid chaotic battles, supernatural threats, and the ongoing quest for immortality, escalating the tension from the first season's cliffhanger.

Studio MAPPA continues production on the sequel, with director Kaori Makita returning to helm the project. Makita, who guided the first season, collaborates with key staff including series composer Akira Kindaichi, character designer Akitsugu Hisagi, and music composer Yoshiaki Dewa. Additional updates to the team include Chika Toda as the new compositing director of photography and Junichi Higashi as art director, promising refined visuals that capture the manga's intricate artwork and dark fantasy elements.

The opening theme, Kasuka na Hana, is performed by Tatsuya Kitani featuring BABYMETAL, delivering a high-energy contrast that was previously highlighted in an earlier promotional video. This musical pairing underscores the season's blend of brutal combat and philosophical undertones.

Main voice actors reprise their roles, led by Chiaki Kobayashi as the indomitable ninja Gabimaru and Yumiri Hanamori as the executioner Yamada Asaemon Sagiri. New cast member Ryōta Suzuki joins as Yamada Asaemon Shugen, a formidable figure teased in the first season's conclusion, adding fresh dynamics to the ensemble of convicts and monitors.

Set in Japan's Edo period, Hell's Paradise explores themes of redemption, survival, and the human desire for eternal life through a harrowing expedition. Death row criminals, promised pardons, are dispatched to a paradisiacal yet monstrous island teeming with demonic entities and guarded by immortal beings known as the Lord Tensen. The second season delves deeper into the Lord Tensen and Hōrai arcs from the manga, introducing more complex antagonists and unraveling the island's ancient secrets.

Gabimaru reigns as the strongest and most ruthless assassin in his village. But now finds himself on death row—with only one way out: retrieve the Elixir of Life from a sinister island. Longing for freedom, he accepts the challenge. But with fellow convicts vying for the same prize and demonic beasts lurking, how will Gabimaru survive this harrowing quest?
