GTA 6 Reportedly Features Kodak Black as an NPC, Sparking Speculation About Other Artist Cameos

Rockstar named nobody in its 39 Launch Gallery screenshots, but one clubgoer's face is reportedly a very familiar one in GTA 6.

One face in Rockstar's own screenshot gallery is drawing a second look. A character shown in Grand Theft Auto VI's official Launch Gallery reportedly is Kodak Black, modeled as an NPC — an identification made from the rapper's face tattoos, hair and jewelry, though Rockstar itself has named nobody in the images.

The still in question comes from the Launch Gallery Rockstar Games opened on November 5, the 39-screenshot batch. In it, the figure holds a cup stamped with the Jack of Hearts logo, the mark of an in-game club that recurs across the game's marketing, and reportedly wears an 1800 Block chain — a nod to the Pompano Beach neighborhood Kodak Black comes from.

The identification was first reported by IGN, which read the character model as a dedicated likeness of the rapper rather than a generic clubgoer. If the report holds, the appearance would be an NPC presence only: nothing in the gallery or elsewhere establishes a role size, missions, or voice work, and Rockstar has not commented on the identification either way.

Kodak Black's Music in GTA 6 is Already Confirmed

Part of why the read gained traction is that Kodak Black's presence in GTA 6 is not entirely speculative. His music is already in the game, and Rockstar has said so itself, telling Dazed: "We love Miami music, particularly Miami bass, going through to more recent Miami artists like Kodak Black and Sexyy Red."

That grounding in real Florida music is the game's stated approach to Leonida, its fictional Florida. A Pompano Beach rapper turning up in a Vice City club scene would fit the pattern Rockstar describes, even if the studio has not confirmed this particular face belongs to him.

Other GTA 6 Artists Remain Speculation

The screenshot has also fueled guesses about other soundtrack artists appearing in the world, with Travis Scott's name raised because he referenced Jack of Hearts in a track made for the game. None of that is confirmed — the same reporting that identified the figure stresses Rockstar has not confirmed any additional artist appearances, and the club cup alone is a recurring piece of branding rather than evidence of a cameo.

For now, the Kodak Black figure stays where Rockstar left it: unnamed in an official screenshot, two weeks of fan scrutiny deep. Whether players can do more than walk past him, if it is him, is a question only the game itself will answer.
