GTA 6 Pre-Order Bonus at Walmart Leaks: a Free Surprise and Delight Bag

A free mystery bag for physical pre-orders is the latest GTA 6 bonus to surface, and Walmart is not saying what is inside it.

Walmart reportedly has a free gift lined up for Grand Theft Auto VI pre-order customers, and it is not in-game content. A listing for a physical "surprise and delight bag" appeared on Walmart's GTA 6 product pages before being pulled, pointing to a swag bag that would ship free with qualifying copies of the game.

The listing was spotted by Nintendeal, which flagged the bonus before it disappeared from the pages. Walmart has not officially announced the bag, so the offer remains unconfirmed and could change before launch.

What makes the bonus unusual is its format, since retailer extras for a launch this size are usually digital items or packaging upgrades. This one is a physical goodie bag, separate from the game itself, and it would arrive in the same shipment as the disc. For collectors, a physical extra also gives the standard edition something the digital version cannot match at the same price.

Claiming it would require no extra work from buyers if the listing holds. There is no code to enter, no membership to join and no separate sign-up — the bag would simply be included automatically with a qualifying pre-order when the game ships.

Qualifying is the key word, because the bonus reportedly applies to physical copies only. Digital pre-orders would not come with the bag, and the listing was tied to the standard edition of GTA 6 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, priced at $79.99.

Nobody outside Walmart knows what the bag actually holds. The listing never named its contents, and nothing about them has surfaced since, so any themed items inside remain pure speculation — only the bag itself was ever listed.

Because the listing was pulled, the safest reading is that Walmart is still finalizing the offer, and it may return or be formally confirmed closer to launch. Players who want the bonus would need to watch Walmart's GTA 6 pages and pre-order while the bag is showing, rather than count on it being added later.

Pre-order demand around the game has been intense since orders opened in June, with special editions and retailer listings drawing heavy attention. Against that backdrop, even a small free extra can steer buyers toward one store over another in the final weeks before launch.

Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with pre-orders open now at $79.99 for the standard edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition. If the bag offer holds, it would be one of the few physical extras attached to the biggest launch of the year.
