One might think that the GTA 6 rumors and leaks would’ve stopped or slowed down by now after Rockstar Games launched the much-anticipated trailer some time ago. However, we cannot be any more wrong in thinking that. It was only through a massive leak that Rockstar was forced to release its trailer a day earlier than its planned schedule, which was quite upsetting for the employees there.
However, in a mere 24 hours after its release, the game's trailer managed to break three Guinness World Records and currently has 148 million views since its upload to YouTube on December 4. Moreover, the release of the trailer isn’t the only good news for GTA fans recently since Netflix subscribers can download GTA 3, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas.
Going back to GTA 6, Reddit user Rockstarlames states that he previously worked at Rockstar Games and claims to have seen a massive map of the game as well as its release date, which is allegedly September 2025. Before going any further, it’s worth noting that this is just a rumor, and nothing has been officially confirmed by Rockstar Games.
Not only this, but it doesn’t take a lot for one to guess that GTA 6 might just launch in September 2025 since everyone knows that it’ll be released that year and the fact that Grand Theft Auto 5 also initially came out in September 2013. The office cleaner claims that they saw an advert featuring the GTA 6 logo and release date. They stated that they also saw the massive map in a Rockstar Games office situated in London.
Once again, we’re all aware that the eagerly-awaited game will be huge when it comes to its map size because the series has offered the most massive maps of its generation since 2001 with the launch of GTA 3. Moreover, many rumors also suggest that GTA 6 might not only feature the confirmed Vice City but can also take players to some other Central and South American regions. Let’s wait and see if it's true!
When will GTA 6 come out and on what platforms?
The latest GTA 6 trailer officially confirmed that the much-anticipated game will come out sometime in 2025 (considering it doesn’t suffer any delays). Unfortunately, it didn’t provide us with an exact release date, so it’s up to anyone’s guess at this point. Many leaks and rumors suggest that the game might launch in September or October 2025.
When it comes to the platforms the game might launch on, so far, we know that it’s coming to Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, meaning that PC gamers might be left out of the mix. Rockstar is famous for releasing its games on PC a year or a year and a half later than the initial launch, so PC gamers can expect to see it in 2027 (assuming GTA 6 launches in 2025).
