Grand Theft Auto VI fans are combing through the launch trailer frame by frame again, and one two-second shot has set off a wave of theories. The detail appears at around the 0:55 mark of the 90-second trailer Rockstar Games released on October 15 — and it connects the trailer to one of the strangest stories to come out of the game's leak cycle.
Reddit user Odd_West5719 posted a screenshot of the moment to the GTAVI subreddit, and the post quickly spread across X and Instagram as fans tried to work out what Rockstar is teasing. The trailer itself has already passed 26 million views on YouTube.

What Fans Spotted at 0:55
The shot in question lasts barely two seconds. A pink biplane flies low over a crowded Leonida beach with the words "DacityCoin AudaCity" painted along its side, while a character out on the wing lights a neon pink flare as the plane passes.
According to the fan-run GTA Wiki, Dacity Coin is a fictional cryptocurrency created by AudaCity, an in-game brand set to appear in GTA 6. The name first surfaced in leaked footage earlier this month, which reportedly showed Lucia being asked to advertise AudaCity through a parachuting stunt in Vice City designed to raise the coin's profile. Epicflix does not embed or link leaked footage, which comes from stolen, unreleased Rockstar material — but the trailer has now put the same name in official footage for everyone to see.
The Theories Fans Are Running With
Fans have wasted no time filling in the blanks. Many expect the coin to be a satire target, with one commenter predicting the game will spend time mocking "crypto bros," while others are joking about a rug-pull storyline in which a hyped coin collapses and leaves its backers with nothing. One fan summed up the lighter take: "I think that's Jason and Lucia doing a side hustle."
None of it is confirmed. Rockstar has said nothing about the branding, and nothing in the trailer or Rockstar's materials suggests the game itself will feature real cryptocurrency or blockchain payments.
The Copycat Coin That Surged 2,900%
The strangest part of the story happened outside the game entirely. Traders created a real token with the same name on Solana through Pump.fun on October 11 — four days before the trailer, after the leaked footage had already put the name in circulation. Within an hour of the trailer's release, the token's market value surged roughly 2,900%, from about $104,000 to a peak of $3.18 million, according to DEX Screener data, before falling about 53% to around $1.5 million as the hype cooled. DEX Screener data shows 24 traders made more than $10,000 on the spike, with the top earner turning $1,912 into about $44,000.
The real-world token has no connection to Rockstar, which has not created or endorsed it — the matching name is the entire story. GTA 6 launches November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, when fans will finally learn what Dacity Coin actually does in Leonida.
