GTA 6: Extended Look Netflix Page Briefly Reveals New Detail

Temporary Netflix Portugal listing hints GTA 6: An Extended Look may arrive as three separate episodes.

Netflix Portugal briefly displayed an updated landing page for the GTA 6: An Extended Look presentation scheduled to premiere on August 27, showing structural information that was not previously public before the page was corrected. The short-lived change centered on how the promotional content for Grand Theft Auto VI might be organized on the streaming service.

As GameRant first spotted out, a post on the r/GTA6 subreddit captured screenshots from the Netflix Portugal page that listed three episodes under the GTA 6: An Extended Look section. Those episode listings are no longer present on the website, and the Portugal page has been updated since the images circulated, so the information should be viewed with appropriate caution.

The captured details indicated that the first episode of GTA 6: An Extended Look ran 23 minutes and 37 seconds, the second measured 24 minutes and 41 seconds, and the third lasted 18 minutes and 29 seconds. Should these timings prove accurate, the Extended Look would function as a multi-part release rather than a single continuous video, operating in a format comparable to a short Netflix mini-series.

During the question-and-answer segment of Take-Two’s Q1 FY 2027 earnings call, as covered by TechRadar, CEO Strauss Zelnick characterized the arrangement as “a first-of-its-kind partnership with Netflix.” On the subject of what viewers might encounter, he added, “I’m not prepared to tell you how it’s going to go, but I feel really good about it. And of course, some six hours after the initial launch on Netflix, it will be available on the Rockstar Games channel on YouTube, and I think ultimately many other outlets.”

The temporary Netflix Portugal listing, if legitimate, would align with Zelnick’s broader comments on the collaboration and the decision to premiere the material first on the streaming platform. Possible distribution patterns for a three-episode structure could include monthly drops beginning on August 27, a compressed weekly release across three consecutive weeks, or a simultaneous availability of all episodes on the premiere date. Only Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, and a limited number of Netflix personnel currently know the exact plan.

Marketing for GTA 6 has so far been restrained, limited primarily to pricing details, the opening of pre-orders, and a small selection of official images and screenshots. The Extended Look is positioned as the first substantial new presentation of the title since those earlier materials. Questions remain about how much gameplay footage the presentation will contain, given that prior marketing has emphasized setting, characters, and story.
