Even though Grand Theft Auto 6 was announced well over a year ago, we still have no idea regarding the actual release date of the much-anticipated game. Back in February 2022, Rockstar Games announced that they were working on GTA 6, but ever since then, no other information has been revealed, making the whole process even more frustrating than before.
Currently, nothing has been revealed regarding GTA 6’s platform, release date, official gameplay trailer, and story details. All we know about the game is because of the many, many leaks that have been circulating around the internet for over a year now, with the previous one suggesting that Rockstar might release the game’s announcement trailer on October 26, 2023.
Much of those gameplay leaks were taken from the game itself when it was in the midst of its early development stage, while the rest are rumors. Some claim that the world of GTA will once again return to Vice City in GTA 6 and will also feature two playable protagonists called Jason and Lucia, with the latter being the first-ever female protagonist to be introduced to the game.
Regardless of Rockstar not revealing any official details, we are still getting our daily fix of the game owing to the leaks. The most recent GTA 6 information comes from the YouTube account of TeaserPlay, and they have released a concept trailer of the game. The trailer offers a glimpse at what GTA 6 might look like if it was running on Unreal Engine 5, and we have to say it looks pretty good. You can watch the concept trailer below:
The TeaserPlay GTA 6 concept trailer showcases several locations that were inspired by San Andreas, Vice City, and Liberty City. The graphics, the features, and the textures seem extraordinary, and we hope the actual game also looks something like this. Unfortunately, this concept trailer won’t ever be playable, or else the developers’s lawyers will quickly shut down TeaserPlay.
The parent company of Rockstar Games Take-Two Interactive, teased that GTA 6 might be released sometime during their fiscal year 2025, meaning somewhere between April 2024 to March 2025. We also know that the game’s online mode might be similar to Fortnite and that the map of Grand Theft Auto 6 might not really be as massive as one initially expected it to be.
