A reputable insider recently claimed that Rockstar Games will officially reveal Grand Theft Auto 6 next month on 26 October. However, plenty of GTA fans are confused when it comes to the claim’s credibility, with some claiming that the news is fake. Considering how many leaks have come out without any official confirmation from the developers, it is about time fans start thinking a little too hard before it comes to believing such leaks.
Some time ago, fans worked hard to compile a massive document that consists of all of the game’s leaks that have been revealed in the past year. So far, we have seen a GTA 6 mock-up map, and we also know the game will feature nearly 100 unique locations. Many leaks also claim that GTA 6’s wanted level system will also receive a complete overhaul compared to the approach GTA 5 took. Despite all of these leaks providing some details regarding the game, it is about time we receive some official news. As per one insider, we might be set to receive it in the upcoming month.
The insider, MarxxChris, shared on his X (formerly Twitter) that the GTA 6 announcement trailer is about to be released. He said, “I can now confirm that Grand Theft Auto VI announcement is set to release on 26 October 2023.” In the past, there were instances where Marx revealed some accurate information, including the time he claimed that a Fable reboot, Payday 3, and Dragon’s Dogma II would be featured during 2023’s Summer Game Fest events.
As it turns out, this information ended up coming true. To be fair, those might be just three educated guesses that a bunch of players could’ve easily made. So, it doesn’t really mean that Marx is going to be right about this particular piece of insider information as well. This is why many fans are reluctant to believe that GTA 6 is actually going to be announced on the 26th of October.
One fan commented, “Set your bookmarks. Hold your judgement until the date above,” with another fan saying, “think about 2 minutes if everyone expected on 26 october then rockstar is going to push it again to an unexpected date.” A third fan chimed in, “The last time the official Announcement was supposedly scheduled was the 18th May 2023. Stop Gaslighting everyone it wont get announced this year!!!!”
Of course, Rockstar Games hasn’t officially revealed any such information on their own regarding GTA 6, so take this leak with a grain of salt. We’re just going to have to wait and see if this leak is actually true or if the developers have some other plans to reveal the game to the players.
