The garage is leaving the screen. Rockstar Games has teamed with Los Angeles shop West Coast Customs to build six of Grand Theft Auto VI's cars as real, drivable machines, recreating everything from a '90s supercar to a police interceptor ahead of the game's arrival.
The six builds were unveiled in a press release from Rockstar Games and West Coast Customs, complete with real engines, paint and trim for every car, and the finished machines were shot driving around Miami wearing Leonida plates. The release says each car "combines traditional metal fabrication with modern composite construction, using CNC machining to produce custom wheels and structural components," with a custom paint finish on every build.
The Supercars
The Grotti Cheetah leads the modern half of the lineup, a classic mid-engined '90s supercar with clean Italian-styled lines. Its real build runs a 4.9L naturally aspirated V8, sits lowered on track-ready tires under a "Vice City fade" paint job, and carries a cabin trimmed in hand-stitched Italian leather.
Next to it, the Progen Emerus is the wild one of the set, a track-ready thoroughbred built around a twin-turbo 4.0L V8 — the only turbocharged engine of the six. Aero bodywork, fighter jet-style vents and one of the largest rear wings on the market sit over a racing suspension, and the car is painted candy orange with an even louder orange interior to match.
The Invetero Coquette rounds out the sports cars, the mid-engined icon packing a 6.2L naturally aspirated V8. Its build wears a "Yeti Camo" livery in flamingo pink and vibrant purple, with custom rims, a lowered stance and a fully custom leather interior.
The Customs and the Cop Car
The Albany Buccaneer covers the classic end as a fully restored 1960s lowrider with a 7.5L V8 under the hood. Candy apple green paint in large metallic flake carries bespoke airbrushing and pinstripes, while air-ride suspension and gold multi-spoke rims sit under a cream ragtop and a leather interior with zebra-print inlays.
The Albany Manana, a 1970s classic rebuilt as a donk, carries the biggest engine of the entire set at 7.7L from its V8. It is coated in large-flake Vice City blue with gold bumpers and trim, rides sky-high on oversized gold-and-chrome rims, and pairs it all with a blue leather cabin edged in gold.
The sixth build is the one players will meet from the wrong side of a chase: a Pegassi Tempesta wearing Vice Beach Police Department livery. The mid-engined supercar runs a flame-spitting 4.0L naturally aspirated V10 over lowered suspension and custom rims, and its cockpit takes after a fighter jet, packed with custom leather and police tech. Rockstar has not said whether an in-game police Tempesta will patrol Leonida's streets, but the build leans hard into the idea.
Not the Shop's First Rockstar Build
West Coast Customs has done this for Rockstar before. The shop built a real Bravado Banshee for Grand Theft Auto V back in 2013, making this its second time bringing one of the series' fictional cars into the real world for a launch.
All six models are confirmed GTA 6 cars, and one already has a purchase link: a '95 Grotti Cheetah is listed as part of the Ultimate Edition on the PlayStation Store. Rockstar has not confirmed whether the builds' exact show liveries, like the Vice City fade or the Yeti Camo, will be selectable finishes in the game's mod shops.
Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and the six real builds are on the road in Miami as the countdown runs down.
