Goku, Vegeta, and the rest of your favorite Z-Fighters will be making their big comeback this October with the premiere of Dragon Ball DAIMA TV anime, one of series creator Akira Toriyama's final works. Today, Japanese broadcaster Fuji TV has announced their upcoming programming slate at their Odaiba headquarters, sharing details about the highly-anticipated premiere of Dragon Ball DAIMA. Mantan Web reported that the new shonen anime series is scheduled to premiere on October 11, 2023 in an extended 40-minute time slot (10-minute extension).
According to Yuichi Nakajima, the head of programming at Fuji TV, “all the episodes [of Dragon Ball DAIMA] are ready” for broadcast. Dragon Ball DAIMA will be airing in Fuji TV's brand new anime-focused time slot on Friday nights at 11:40 PM JST. In the press conference, Nakajima explained that the shift from Sunday mornings (where Dragon Ball Kai and Super broadcasted) to Friday nights is so that new episodes will be broadcast nationwide, making the new anime “easily able to be watched by the target demographic.” It was also announced that all episodes of Dragon Ball DAIMA have been completed.
