The Z-Fighters’ adventure in the Demon Realm is coming to a close as the twentieth and final episode of Dragon Ball DAIMA premieres later this month, but before the shonen anime series ends, the penultimate episode this week revealed that Goku could unleash his Super Saiyan 4 form as an adult. The previous episode showed him transforming into Super Saiyan 4 as a kid, but thanks to Glorio’s wish on the Demon Realm’s Porunga, the Z-Fighters transformed back to adults. This week's episode showed that Goku is still able to unleash the Super Saiyan 4 form as an adult.
The official website of Dragon Ball DAIMA shared the preview for Episode 19, titled Betrayal, which premiered on Crunchyroll today, introducing Super Saiyan Goku 4 transformation in adult form. The official synopsis for Dragon Ball DAIMA Episode 19 reads:
The battlefield is in chaos, and Goku and his allies find themselves in a dire situation. After much hesitation, Glorio ultimately carries out Arinsu’s cleverly orchestrated scheme! As his comrades are thrown into turmoil, what will happen as a result of Glorio’s betrayal?

Is Super Saiyan 4 canon?
Goku's Super Saiyan 4 transformation debuted in Dragon Ball GT, a non-canon anime-original series that aired from February 1996 to November 1997. The anime sequel to Dragon Ball Z was not written by series creator Akira Toriyama, so it wasn't considered canon. The current canon timeline consists of the storyline of Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super, and Dragon Ball Super films, none of which reference SSJ4. Instead, those anime titles introduced Super Saiyan God, Super Saiyan Blue, and Ultra Instinct.
Since Dragon Ball DAIMA was written by the late Akira Toriyama, and the story is set chronologically after the events of Buu Saga of Dragon Ball Z and before the beginning of the events of Dragon Ball Super, we can consider Super Saiyan 4 canon now. DAIMA takes place in Age 775, which is just a year after the fall of Kid Buu (Age 774) and three years before the beginning of Dragon Ball Super (Age 778). This would suggest that the form should have appeared in later events, such as the Tournament of Power, but the latest episode of Dragon Ball DAIMA didn't provide an in-universe explanation as to why SSJ4 form didn't appear in the aforementioned titles.
