A deadly technique from the Studio MAPPA-produced anime adaptation of Chainsaw Man has officially been made Marvel canon thanks to Deadpool. It turns out that the Merc with a Mouth is also an anime fan, but that shouldn't surprise comic book fans. Deadpool is known for not just breaking the fourth wall, but also his knowledge of pop culture. It's helped Wade Wilson define his sense of humor, and his latest anime reference will remind Chainsaw Man fans of an iconic move from Tatsuki Fujimoto's popular dark fantasy manga series.
In Marvel's recently launched Deadpool #1 by Cody Ziglar and Roge Antonio, the Merc with a Mouth pulls a move straight out of Chainsaw Man by channelinghis inner Aki Hayakawa and summoning his own take of a Fox Devil (via his daughter created by the Carnage symbiote). Princess, his newest daughter, were shown taking on an assignment to assassinate a target in Canada. However, to enter the mansion, the two encounter a group of bodyguards. While Deadpool is able to take down most of them, the last henchman puts up a fight as he wields a flamethrower. However, before the henchman fires, Deadpool forms a ring with his fingers, highlighting the henchman. He asks him if he's ever seen Chainsaw Man, but before the bodyguard could answer, Princess shows up and brutally bites him in half, ending his life.

Deadpool's move with the help of Princess is a brilliant and hilarious recreation of the iconic Kon scene in Chainsaw Man. The Merc with a Mouth even confirmed where his move came from when he asked his enemy if he's seen the fan-favorite anime. In Fujimoto's series, Devil Hunter Aki Hayakawa has made a deal with the Fox Devil, Kon, to battle other Devils at a moment's notice in exchange for some of his flesh. When Aki makes the same hand gesture that Deadpool made, Kon appears and chomps on his foes. The way Princess appears from behind is the same way Kon approaches an enemy, so this is a fantastic way to recognize the anime's iconic move. In the Chainsaw Man anime, Kon did this to kill the Leech Devil when it was about to eat the titular protagonist, Denji.

Is Chainsaw Man getting a Season 2?
The second season of the Chainsaw Man anime series has not been announced (at least, not yet); Instead of Chainsaw Man Season 2, we're getting a theatrical movie. The upcoming Chainsaw Man movie was announced at Jump Festa 24 — the annual anime and manga convention held in Tokyo —with the anime's official X/Twitter account sharing a quick teaser and key art.
Officially titled Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, the anime movie is being produced by studio MAPPA and will adapt the next set of chapters in the original manga series by Tatsuki Fujimoto. It will pick directly after the events of the TV anime's first season - which means its plot will be canon to the main story, unlike many anime spinoff film. Unfortunately, the production team hasn't shared any recent updates for the highly-anticipated movie, but we can expect it to arrive in theaters in Japan in the near future.
